Russell Brand's ex thinks Katy Perry is too vanilla
You know what's awesome about the desire for fame and attention? Some people will rush head first into any claim just to validate the spotlight. Enter Georgina Baillie, ex-girlfriend of everyone's favorite libertine, Russell Brand. When did Brand have time to be in a relationship when he was claiming to have slept with like four hundred women a year or something?
Baillie is full of snide disdain for Brand's burgeoning fondness for monogomy with Katy Perry, dismissing the pop singer as too Laughing Cow Lite for Brand. "Everyone knows you don't date Brand seriously...Russell likes the idea of having a serious relationship, but when you've got all those different flavors of ice cream offered to you on a plate, you're not going to stick with vanilla, are you?"
Meow. First, Katy Perry is definitely not bland. Second, plenty of people are not fond of eating ice cream in the winter time. Rumors are that Katy Perry's ex is also disgusted by their relationship, since he still has a thing for her, but is "getting a sick kick out of the idea their relationship will go under due to Russell's philandering." Isn't it fun how we can go from loving someone to loving someone so much we hope only miserable things happen to them?

Featuring Unique Live Performances From Program Set
List Includes Two No. 1 Smashes and Two Brand-New Songs
(October 12, 2009 – New York, NY) Coming off her third No. 1 single, “Waking Up in Vegas,” multi-platinum Capitol singer-songwriter KATY PERRY is set to put her unique signature on yet another defining signpost of global pop culture, releasing her upcoming appearance on MTV: UNPLUGGED in CD + DVD set in one package on November 17, 2009.
Recorded live in New York on July 22, 2009, Perry presents some of her most well-known songs in a whole new way, performing unplugged re-arrangements of her No. 1 hits “I Kissed A Girl” and “Waking Up In Vegas,” along with the No. 1 video hit “Thinking Of You,” and the popular tracks “Ur So Gay” and “Lost” from her debut album ONE OF THE BOYS, which has now sold five million worldwide.
The MTV: UNPLUGGED set list is rounded out with two brand-new tracks, a cover of the Fountains of Wayne song “Hackensack”, and the never before released original song “Brick By Brick”. The DVD release also features exclusive interview footage.
Individual songs from the program will be debuting during MTV’s morning all-music video block AMTV on November 16th, and the full program, along with interview material, will air on Palladia, MTV Networks’ high-definition music channel, on November 27th, at 9 PM and 12 AM. In this appearance, Katy Perry joins a distinguished roster of MTV: Unplugged performers, memorably including Eric Clapton, whose 1992 program featured “Tears in Heaven” and “Layla” and won six Grammys, among them Album of the Year, Tony Bennett, who won Grammy’s Album of the Year for his 1994 appearance, Nirvana and others. Katy Perry is only the fourth artist in history to have 4 hit singles, 3 of which went to No. 1 from a debut album. Katy’s first two single releases, the seven-week Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 “I Kissed a Girl” and the No. 1 mainstream top 40 radio hit “Hot N Cold,” are RIAA-certified for triple-platinum sales. ONE OF THE BOYS also includes the VH-1 Countdown ballad hit “Thinking of You”. Katy Perry is a Brit Award and MTV Europe Music Award winner, and is also a Grammy Award, MTV Video Music Award and Teen Choice Award nominee.

What a fabulous pairing of musical minds! Rivers Cuomo of Weezer has revealed that he will be working with the delightful Katy Perry on her next album saying that they will be "writing together next week. Can't wait."
Cool!
Katy herself has just headed back in the studio this week to start working on the new album which she has said is going to be very different from her smash record One of the Boys.
"I'm kind of thinking I want to do my record like a mesh between 'Lovefool' by the Cardigans and ['The Sign'] by Ace of Base. I want to make songs that people want to hold hands and roller-skate to.
I'm not looking to alienate my fans, but I can't be that grown-up Shirley Temple girl wearing the stupid strawberry in her hair all the time…because I'd kill myself or someone else would for me. So I'm really excited to always be evolving and changing — with my look, with my music, it keeps me entertained as well."
LOVEBIRDS RUSSELL BRAND and KATY PERRY look like a pair of besotted teenagers as they share a smooch at Los Angeles airport.
The couple have had the showbiz world captivated by their romance since The Sun revealed they were dating earlier this month.
And judging by Katy's squeal of delight as she picked him up at LAX, it's clear the singer is still smitten.
An onlooker said: "She looked like the cat who got the cream. She pounced on him as soon as he got in the car."
Russell's ex-girlfriend GEORGINA BAILLIE yesterday issued a warning to Katy about the comic's womanising ways.
But this snap proves Katy has got Russ right where she wants him.
