Katy Perry held a little party last night in Beverly Hills and was looking very sexy in a tight fitting grey dress. Now granted I would prefer she show a bit more of her lovely cleavage, but I guess she did enough of that during her Grammy performance. Now the question I have is who is that guy behind her in the see through top and wife beater? Does he make anyone else a bit nervous??
Katy Perry made headlines earlier this year for a very public fall out with her 'Gym Class Heroes' beau Travis McCoy after he wrote a blog venting about their failed relationship.
With Valentine's Day right around the corner, we caught up with Katy at the Bondi Blonde's Style Mansion party to get the low down on her love life.
Katy told Hollyscoop that she doesn't have any romantic plans on the big day and will be spending it with some girlfriends instead.
"I'm so excited I'm going to be in Vegas, what a great way to celebrate," Katy told Hollyscoop exclusively before adding that single life is treating her "good."
This past weekend Katy headlined the Grammy's with a special performance of her hit song 'I Kissed a Girl.' Given that it was her first time at the Grammy's, she said she was "SO nervous" about the experience.
She said, "I've never done that before. Jennifer Hudson always kills it, and Coldplay and Jay Z- the little thing Jay Z came up for was the most brilliant thing I'd ever seen!"
Nothing heals a broken heart like a weekend in Vegas with your girlfriends, Katy's lucky to have good friends! Just for fun, let's play matchmaker, tell us who you'd like to see her go on a date with.
When she hit Bondi Blonde's Style Mansion party last night, she was cuddly on the carpet with a new guy.
But even though they puckered up in pics, turns out he's just her stylist, Johnny Wujek. The newly single singer said she's still looking for a Valentine.
"I'm gonna be in Las Vegas, so I might find one!" she said.
Inside the bash, Jay Lyon's (Whitney Port's boyfriend from The City) band Tamarama performed as guests sipped Belvedere IX cocktails.
So what does he have planned for Whitney for Valentine's Day?
"You have to wait for it and see. But everything's good. I can't give away the story points!" he dodged, adding that Whitney was in Miami.
At least he was willing to dish what he likes most about her.
"She's a very poised woman," Jay said. "I like the way she carries herself. She's very confident and she's a very big sweetheart."
Even though she's far from the image of what you'd imagine when you hear the term "Bondi Blonde," Katy Perry played hostess at the Style Mansion's party sponsored by the low-carb Australian beer. Oh this one. Always so preoccupied with surrounding herself with various fruits.
The "I Kissed A Girl" singer continues on a path of hellfire and self-destruction by partying with shirtless men so soon after her breakup from boyfriend Travis McCoy.
Meanwhile, Brigitte Nielsen was the picture of elegance in her beautiful fur-trimmed coat made from the pelts of a little white puppies. That's the kind of glamor you couldn't replicate if you tried. As if that weren't enough, the evening actually warranted a costume change for her into a fire-engine-red jacket dyed from the blood of said puppies who gave their lives in the name of fashion. Brigitte's not heartless--she wanted to make sure they didn't die in vain.
Katy Perry arrived at Bondi Blonde’s Style Mansion Hosted By herself at the Style Mansion International on Tuesday night in Beverly Hills, California.
I actually love the new do (of course it is a wig) but she looks magnificent! I am not so sure about her ensemble though. You be the judge: hate it or love it? View more pictures of Raven Symone after the jump -
Katy Perry tells Hollywood.tv she's heading for Denmark later this month. The star spoke with the press at the Bondi Blonde's party at Style Mansion International in Beverly Hills on Monday (February 9), which she hosted, also talking about her Grammy performance and the freezing LA weather. "I'm so excited," Perry said. "It's one place I have not been, and I love Danish people, Swedish people. Ohhh, they're so beautiful. I wan't to find a boyfriend there." Watch the comments below.
Taylor Swift recorded a special backstage video at the Grammy's for the Ellen DeGeneres Show. She showed off rehearsals with Miley, the red carpet, Katy Perry getting ready and more! Watch the vid below!
Taylor Swift took her Flip Mino video camera to the Grammys and took exclusive footage just for The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Featuring Miley
Cyrus and Katy Perry. Thx Ashleigh!
If you’re lucky enough never to have heard of Katy Perry, please don’t keep reading this. I envy you, and you have a right to stay blissfully in the dark.
Katy Perry’s inflammatory lyr*ics to her songs “Ur So Gay” and “I Kissed a Girl” have sparked much outrage in the queer com*munity. In the first, she says of her self-absorbed ex-boyfriend “ur so gay and you don’t even like boys,” tacitly reinforcing stereo*types about gay men being narcis*sistic and the middle school use of gay as a generic put-down. In the latter, she shares her story of kissing a girl “just to try it” and later hopes “my boyfriend don’t mind it.” With the lines “Us girls we are so magical/Soft skin, red lips, so kissable/Hard to resist so touchable,” the song shows the object of desire isn’t other girls, but Perry herself.
I find it hard to defend the idea that “I Kissed a Girl” shows a new acceptance of bisexuality, but rather than going to the other extreme and find the lyrics repre*hensibly homophobic, I choose a middle path. Or rather, a non-path: I don’t care. Katy Perry’s music is so horribly pop-star bad, and so unlikely to remain in the public consciousness in the long term, I refuse to care. Yes, it is catchy, and the lyrics are so sim*ple they easily get stuck in one’s head. But it is so bad that it’s hard to take seriously.
The real music that makes a difference in people’s lives isn’t coming out of the prepackaged Top 40 music industry. That isn’t to say that pop music doesn’t affect people’s views, especially the delicate and impressionable views of the preteens who are most likely to be listening to this crap. But unless we see a trend of archaic stereotypes in pop music, in a few years Katy Perry’s idiocy will be just a shadow in our distant memory. Kids will grow out of their Billboard tastes and start exploring music that really speaks to them, perhaps finding the long lasting and influential gay Canadian twins Tegan and Sara, who have been performing more than ten years as a duo and with an impressive roster of indie superstars.
In closing, I defend Katy Perry’s right to sing poorly written songs and take breaths bizarrely in the middle of words, just as long as I don’t have to listen to the result.
