Over two years ago, we posted a song by a then unknown Katy Perry, a song we LOVE called Waking Up In Vegas, and now - finally - she is releasing it as her next single!!!!

Katy Perry proves just how sexy she can be with smouldering magazine shoot

With her love of dressing up in wacky costumes, 'sexy' isn't the first word that comes to mind to describe Katy Perry.

But in these smouldering pictures for Esquire magazine, the singer shows she definitely has a sultry side.
In one black and white shot, she shows off her impressive curves in a figure-hugging outfit of basque and suspenders.

A sheer shawl is draped over her shoulders, and her shoulder-length hair tumbles down in soft waves.
Another shot sees the 24-year-old clad in a leopard print bodysuit.

Reclined against a wall, the I Kissed A Girl singer pouts sultrily at the camera.

Eccentric Katy doesn't always look so sexy. She once donned an egg costume

The photo shoot is quite a departure for the young star, who has in the past dressed up as an egg, donned a moustache to look like Freddie Mercury, and thrown on a costume that looked like a merry-go-round.
She gave fans another surprise recently.

Even though her most famous song is about kissing a girl, Katy locked lips with a boy for her new pop video.

In the clip for Waking Up In Vegas, she is seen snogging 'professional geek' Joel Moore, who can also claim Paris Hilton as a kissing partner.
He starred in the film The Hottie And The Nottie with Paris, where she frequently kissed him.
Katy is on a high after taking home the Brit Award for Best International Female earlier this month.
She was recently linked to Paris Hilton's ex boyfriend Benji Madden after they were pictured together at a Las Vegas nightclub, but has since spoken out to deny the rumours.

Writing on her blog, she said: 'It’s two pseudo famous people sitting next to each other… doesn’t mean we were bumping uglies!
'You know I don’t just do that with anyone! That’s just how the media works, as you can tell.

'I was there celebrating a really fun show and a boozy Valentine's with all my good friends. We were like a group of 25.
'Benji is a nice young fellow, but my heart really belongs to Kitty Purry (her pet cat).'
The singer has been single since splitting from musician Travis McCoy, from the Gym Glass Heroes, on New Year's Eve after dating for a year.
Despite their split, Katy insists she is still in touch with Travis and denied a report she had criticised him on stage at one of her gigs.
She said: 'I never mentioned Travis or his lovely band, as they are all still friends of mine.'

Katy Perry Wants To Lick You

Katy Perry doesn't just want to lick YOU, but everyone else in the audience! The gorgeous raven-haired singer was part of the CHUM Radio FanFest Concert in celebration of Canadian Music Week, and she was snapped here bringing her usual power-packed stage performance here to a bunch of enthusiastic fans. Since we've seen her in so many different (crazy) ensembles, jeans are just plain ol' boring. She made up for it by signing a ton of things for the audience afterwards, though!

In other Katy Perry news, she recently admitted that she doesn't think she'll reach megastardom, saying that "I'd like to say I'd like to be as big as a Gwen or a Madonna, but I think those days of achieving that level are over," in the April issue of Esquire. "The media is bringing everybody down," she continued. Do you agree?
