Let's get a handle on signature graphics!

Hey guys. I am not trying to be a party pooper, but can we establish some guidelines as to the graphics that users use for their signature?

I mean some of the members have what is like a half page graphic attached to their message every time they post something. It makes scrolling through thehreads sort of a pain in the ass. Yeah it's cool the first or second time you see it, but it becomes quite annoying after a while.

Can we set like an inch maximum height or something like that? The height is really the main issue because obviously you scroll vertically...

yeah i think that's a good idea. So i suppose i need to change mine lol. it's ok mines kinda big and i know what your saying so dont worry your not being a party pooper.

actually, no offense or anything, but i kind of enjoy seeing what other peoples pictures are and stuff. its a way of expressing urself, u know? well, thats my opinion. later!

Yes, seeing the pictures and stuff is really cool, for about the 3rd or 4th time, but then it just becomes a little annoying when you are trying to read through a forum and it's like a post with 2 words in it and then 5 inches of pictures to go through.

It's not a big deal, but when everyone does this, it just become a little rediculous. Not to mention it makes it that much more of a pain for people with slow connections to browse the forums because each one of these pictures has to load. But hey, whatever turns you on.

so do i, not that i know how to go about changing it since i think it would have to apply to all graphics in general since there's no option for just the signatures.. but you can set signatures to off in your user/cp if it's a big deal =]

Yup. That's what I have done now. But it's too bad, because I DO like seeing some pictures, but when I feel like it is getting out of hand, or when I have to read through a ton of messages after I have been away for many days, then I just turn off the signature option.
