Bandaids' Nobody's Home Promo Contest

With Nobody's Home gaining steadily on the radio charts and remaining a fixture on MTV's TRL it looks like we have yet another Avril Top 5 hit on our hands. But to guarentee Avril's placement atop the charts we need to step up the Nobody's Home Promotion Force. So to help encourage you to promote the new single, we have a little contest for you.

For everything you do to help Nobody's Home climb the charts you will earn points. Just leave a post in this thread explaining your promotion activities and you will be credited with a coresponding number of points. Then, at the end of the contest (when Nobody's Home gets into the top 5 on the US radio spins chart) we will have 5 autographed copies of the Nobody's Home single cover to give away as prizes. Depending on how hard people are promoting, we will add more prizes as the contest goes on.

Some ideas for promotion are:

- requesting the song at your local radio stations
- voting on TRL and other TV based chart programs
- playing the song for friends
- posting links to the video and reviews of the song at various online communities
- we'll also throw in promo points for any promotion of Bandaids that you do (ie. flyers at concerts, posts online, radio promo)


And if you were too lazy to read all that here's the summary:

- promote Nobody's Home
- post what you did in this thread to accumulate promo points
- when Nobody's Home reaches the top 5 for radio spins in the US the contest will be over
- the top 5 point earners will get signed copies of the NH single cover
- if you promote really hard then we'll add more prizes to give away in random draws where each point accumulated will earn you one entry into the draw

New way you can earn points: Referring people to Bandaids

If you go to http://www.avrilbandaids.com/forums/...y&titlesonly=0 each of you will find your personal referral link. Get people to sign up via that link and they will be credited as referrals to you. Then post in this thread that you referred people and I can verify it and check how many you referred in the Admin Control Panel. For each member that you refer you'll get three (3) points towards the contest.

Since Nobody's Home has been doing so amazing on the charts, we're going to add four more autographs that you could potentially win just by promoting Avril and the single. The way the prizes will work now is that we'll keep the original 5 going to the top 5 promoters when she hits #5 on the charts, but then for every further position she gets past #5 we'll add one more autograph to be given away in a random draw. In other words:

If she gets to #4 we'll have 6 autographs to give away - 5 to the top point earners and 1 random draw
If she gets to #3 there will be 7 autographs
And so on until #1 where we will have 9 autographs to be given away - 5 to top earners and 4 through a random draw

We got the prizes signed in Toronto on November 4th during the Meet & Greet and this is what they look like:

I've got a spreadsheet with a running tabuolation of all your points and basically once a day I'll go through the posts and update the tabs. If you want to know how many you have you can PM me, but don't ask more than once a week or I'll ignore your requests in the interest of preventing my inbox from being spammed.

i put the song on 2 of my personal webpages (one is avrilized)
i vote often on trl
i request the song in radio stations alot
i voted lots for nobodys home in the muchmusic powershift thingy

and i just talk about the video/song alot, im probably annoying my friends

I hate to make an example of you, but this is exactly what we DONT want.

Give us numbers, dont just say "i vote often on trl". You wont get any points for saying that.

For example, If you voted 3 times today on TRL then post after the fact that you've voted 3 times today. If you request the song, post after you've requested it and tell us what station and when you requested it. If you put the video on a website, give us the link. And if you send the video to some friends, tell us how many friends.

Ok, I voted on UK music channels - Q I voted 3 times for it, kerrang 2 times(£1 each time!!). And requested it on local radio station Red Dragon.
I showed the video to my friends.
I am going to post links to it all over other message boards.
I have changed my msn name to the chorus of Nobodys home.
