Converting Media?

I have a video and I want to convert it to an audio file, how do I do that? I have a converter called dBpowerAMP Music Converter. Whenever I try to do that, with the easy tutorial thing, it seems to work.

But when I listen to the new audio file, it's really sped up. How can you keep it in the same time? Is there a different converter I should be using?

you could demultiplex the video with an encoding program that will give you an mv2 (video file) and a mp2 (audio file) then run the mp2 through your mp3 encoder and youll have an mp3 =D

Can you put that in stupid people's terms? I'm computer dumb...is there any way I can just convert the mpeg straight into an mp3?

the easiest way is to load the video into any program that will export audio such as adobe premiere. or a program such as besweet may convert it directly to mp3 altho im not sure.
