How do I switch it to an mpeg?

If there is a way I can change the format from avi to mpeg how do I do that so I can get it to play on my dvd player. Thanx.

Well animation shop will do it but I think the sound goes. There are AVI to MPG coverters out there (probably best check out tucows, download.comand such sites cause I can't remember where I got mine or anything about it) I used one called AVI2MPG when I tried to make a VCD.

For some programs, if there's a trial period, after you exceed it you can set your calendar back and still use it. Any time I need to use nero, for example, I set my calendar to september 29th 2003 it works great. I've been meaning to ask this question too! nero won't burn avi files I think i've tricked it into burning avis before. Or even "converted" the file by changing the extension in the file name and it actually worked enought to make it burn! But for this one movie I've got, it refuses!

But if you change the date of your computer.... doesn't that fuck up other programs?

wouldn't it be easier if you just made a data cd?

depends on the dvd player. if your player can play divx and you burn a divx file as a data cd it should be able to play it.

Its worth a shot I guess. I know for certain my dvd player plays mp3, cd, cdrw, vcd, and svcd..it doesn't specifically say divx, does that mean it can't? I'll burn one though, see how it works.
