Christina, how do you know it was Kornboy? It's extremely difficult for a single person to crash an entire website, especially one as large as bandaids, which is capable of taking a lot of traffic. And the tech guys here keep the passwords VERY secure after last time. It was probably just some routine server maintenance.

The crashes was unrelated to security issues. When I was informed I was watching the server, nothing odd came about it.
There are two ways for a site to be crashed: Intrusion and manual shutdown (virtually impossible), and DDoS attacks (which are extremely easy to notice and diagnose). No DDoS-ing occured nor were there any unauthorized logins. Our host techs were logged in around the time of the downtime, I suppose they were upgrading something. |
