How do I put movies on a disc?
Okay-So I can put audio on a disc from my computer. But I have movies on my computer that I'd like to burn to a disc so I can free space on my computer.
However, whenever I burned the movie, it came out as audio. (I used Windows Media Player, kind of not knowing that'd happen lol)

Is there a free program that would allow me to burn movies on a disc?
I'm sorry if this sounds really stupid, I have no idea how to do this

Ok, you can use NERO to copy anything to your CDs or DVDs but if you want to play it using your DVD player you will probably need to encode the movie and create a VCD or movie DVD.

If you want to copy videos to a DVD and play them using your COMPUTER, then any CD/DVD burner will work.

Also, you should download VLC MEDIA PLAYER.
It can play anything so i guess you should try to open your video.

I had one program, but when I went to burn it, it basically doubled the size of the movie and said I didn't have enough disc space lol.

I DLed the VLC player. How do I encode it? (I want to use the discs on a DVD player, rather than my computer)

Some DVD players can play some formats meaning the videos do not need to be encoded but most players cant.

You could try to play some dvd using your dvd player and see if it works.
A movie dvd has two folders, audio_ts and video_ts. If these folders do not exist then its not a movie dvd.

To create a movie dvd you can use Nero but encoding could take hours!
