Was when Avril got her band. I was watching the old videos of the guys overseas, the ones where the had individual interviews, Matt said he had been playing with Avril for about a year and 1 month. So after some easy calculations, I figured it out to be around November 2001. So that solves that.

haha okay, I won't ruin your high but I think matt was the first band member and it took a few more months to get the other members - I remember reading an interview with evan it said spinfire broke up in february 2001

i always thought evan was the first signed band member becasue he went for the drumming part but did shit so borowed someones guitar and went and did the guitar parts

I read that he tried out for drums, but the audition didn't go well so he borrowed someone's guitar and then Avril chose him for lead guitar.

ye thats what i ment soz if it didnt make sense

that whole audition thing is new to me, didn't avril always say "we didn't really have auditions" I always thought that people from her management who knew the guys recommended them, and that was it.

Avril had already chosen someone else for lead guitar, but then picked Evan when she heard him play guitar.

yeah, I've read the articles, I never said it wasn't true, but I still don't get why avril always says they didn't have auditions

Which vids are they, if you dont mind me asking? Do you mean the really early ones where each band member introduced himself? I never did manage to see those, if you have any idea where I could find them... maybe this should go in media request ..oops... oh well
