My PS Has Problem??
Well does anyone know why my Photoshop needs 5min after clicking to open??
I thought it was cause of the tons of brushes i have and every time they must load but do you think it's smth else??Or it's normal?? |

How much memory do you have?
At least 512 MB of RAM is recommended to run Photoshop CS3 Too many brushes could make the program take longer to load. I used to have tons of brushes but i deleted most of them. Does it take long to load the list of brushes? Does it load when you scroll down? If so, you should delete some brushes. Also, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and have a look at the memory usage before and after entering PS. My computer has only 1 gig of ram im going to get another gig because it gets REALLY slow when using PS and having some windows open. My memory usage gets to like 1,400+MB. BTW, my computer takes 8-12 seconds to open PS CS3 EXTENDED. Are you serious? 5 mins is way too long!

yeah i know...i'm ready to sleep while waiting...
and yeah the brushes are making time to load..but how i can delete them??i have to leave without them...  my RAM is 512 mb too...and i have PS CS2 |

Right click on the brushes and click delete.
What would i do if i was you? First of all, export all your brushes to a file. Delete the brushes you never use. (HiRes brushes take forever to load) Close all windows before starting PhotoShop Clean windows startup. Get some more memory. You need to know the frequency at which your memory is working. Incorrect frequencies could lead to less speed or money waste.

Sure!
Click on the start button and press "Run..." Type "msconfig" and press enter It should look like this:  Those are the programs that load at windows start. Disabling some of them should make windows take shorter to load and there will be less memory usage. You can also click on the services tab and disable those services you dont need. Do you connect wirelessly? If not, disable the wireless network service
