Is Bandaids too censored?

I think over all bandaids got a lot better then a lets say 8 months ago. I remember comming on bandaids around that time and just see nearly one argue in each section. Since the past 2/3 months bandaids became really great of course people still don't always agree, they never will because they are human. The moderating got a lot beter and there is a lot less spam.

Bandaids came on internet to discuss Avril Lavigne as an artist, to share media and have people to get to getter as fans, or just because they like one song. Fighting, insulting, use swear words, pulling out names, argueing as nothing apsolutly NOTHING to do with Avril Lavigne or Bandaids. People get irritated sometimes by other members, yes but is it needed to argue about it or calm him/ her stupid? Knowing that it will end up in a fight? Please look up on the site were ''Bandaids'' stands for.

Don't take this the wrong way, but to anybody who doesn't like the way the forums are modded, go find another forum. The amount of work and money that goes into Bandaids is underestimated, and I don't think it's right for people to abuse the forums. I don't know what this situation that you're tlaking about is, Paul, and I think you're a cool guy anyways, but I'm just saying this in general.

Anything that happens is in the best interest of Bandaids and/or Avril. Sounds cheesy, but it's not.

Well i could name one member who's constantly ignorant and insults others and nothing gets said to them!!!!!

In the case of blatent offence or insult a person should be reprimanded but the forum is sometimes too controlling. like small things get nit-picked at!!! My boyfriend is a member on here and got an message from a mod telling him he should change his avatar in case it offended people! i mean thats kinda extreme!

ok i'm a little torn on this subject...

i do think sometimes things are way too censored on here. and i get what you guys are saying, totally. and i sometimes think people take things waaaaay too seriously! i've posted things before and had my head bitten off! "this thread is pointless" "in the wrong section!!!" "who cares about that" you get the jist.
i mean, this is just a forum. it's where people with a common interest can meet and chat. which i think is great! but sometimes tensions get far too high, and that gets totally forgotten about.
we're all different and have different opinions about stuff. and we should all respect that. and some people should really think before they speak, in case you do say something to upset someone.

now with the mods and censoring the site. i have to say, i think most do a good job. especially the guys who are super in charge (lol!). for example, i had a thread with a picture of me and in. and the abuse i got was terrible!! i got so upset! but thanks to one of the mods, who i spoke to about it all, they sorted it out for me, no problems. and i really thank them for that.
you guys also have to remember that there are some younger people on here. and therefore the mods have to be super careful what does get posted! if things got totally out of hand, those young members could be forced to leave, which would suck and be totally unfair to them. and there are things that we all think 'oh that's so stupid, saying that's going to offend someone'. like swear words for instance.
i work with kids all day. you have no idea how careful you have to be! the most stupid, pathetic things could get you in sooo much trouble! we were told we weren't allowed to give the kids high fives in case you leave one of em out....it's not fair! now if that's not pathetic, i don't know what is...

so basically. this goes to everyone. just think before you speak. there's no need to be nasty here! we all here because we like Avril. surely we should all be able to get on and take some consideration for others. you wouldn't like it if someone said or did something that upsets you.

yeah i think it was. he changed it anyway!

and im not gonna say here which member in case they read it and start having a go at me! but on numerous occassions ive seen comments by them that were just plain unnecessary, mean and ignorant!

so if theres gonna be a rule about people being offensive it needs to be enforced on everyone and not just some people!
