Is Bandaids too censored?

Okay thishas honestly got nothing to do with my thread that was closed it was a stupid thread i know but meh,

I'm asking this questin to everyone and of course te admins etc. will probably disagree with me but i was talking with someone on bandaids a while back and we think that bandaids is too censored at times. I understand some things can offend people but everything is going to offend someone anyway. like serious offensive stuff like racism bullying discrimination etc. shud definatly be taking into account but little things such as talking about over weight or skinny people or ugly or good looking people, once nothing is directly about someone its not really offending, and i think the threads should be let stay if one or two are offended once its nothing serious cos everything is offensive at the end of the day, i was acussed of being drunk and high on this not so lon ago and it was 3 or 4 in th afternoon, and that is being offensive, but i wasn't offended but i just let it go unlike alot of people on bandaids.

I talk to alot of people from bandaids and i think that they are really nice people, but alot of people on this site that things to much to heart, if u disagree with something like give your opinion but don't start stupid fights over things thats when they start getting offensive.

anyway i know alot of people won't like that i'm writing this thread but i just want to see if i am the only person here that feels this way about the censorship on the page.

Still love ya tho bandaids but seriously think it needs to lighten up? igf a thread proves popular why not keep it once not offensive?

sometimes yes, in that people's opinions are sometimes taken away by deleting &/or attacking the posts if they don't agree with others, and in that sometimes threads are closed for needless reasons.

But as for language and stuff like that, no, it's not too censored. Just look at half the stuff I say and get away with and you can tell that.

Bandaids isnt censored. You have to take into consideration other people on the boards. That means no prejudice comments or no saying you are going to kill God *coughPaulcough*. Its offensive to people. They are just common rules on Bandaids as they are in society.

There have been a few bad decisions by staff in the past but again reminding you that staff members are just people, we dont make the right decision ALL the time.

I was just saying that sometimes staff needs to take into consideration the fact that everyone on here is a person, too. I understand closing a thread or stuff like that if its derogatory, but sometimes its closed for no sensible reason.
And with attacking other members, sometimes people just need to accept that they have their own opinions, too. You don't have to agree with it, but if you gave the person the chance to express their opinion in the 1st place without being attacked over it, issues wouldn't flare up so much.

yeah i understand t hat lewis but thats wat i'm saying and its nothing to do with my thread AT ALL!! to clear that up...

but things do get deleted adn people get blocked for silly things at times, i mean u blocked someoe for calling sum1 else a stalker, i mean in my honest opinion all that blew right out of proportion.

ALOT of the people on this site take things WAY TOO serious they need to lighten up, its a fansite and there are threads and all the rest jsut lighten up people and have fun!

Shit gets said on messageboards all the time. Certain threads call for closing, but sometimes people need to grow a backbone and not take everything to heart. I mean, just go on other messageboards and compare the mood there to the mood here. It's too uptight.

-Do you realize how many admins there are? It's an administrator. You only need one. Yes, that qualifies as uptightness because it seems to be exercising too much control.
-Admit it: the people who disagree with Avril more are the people who the staff dislike. Say Paul and Gustavoi both called someone stupid. Yeah, maybe they wouldn't do that, but this is hypothetical. Be realistic. Who would get in more trouble?
-Tiffany. What did she do that was so awful besides speaking against the staff and Avril and having you guys dislike her?
-Yeah, speaking out against the staff. Let's talk about that. Really, I do like most of the staff members, but it's horrendously difficult to disagree with you guys, or at least some of you. If someone says something they don't like, instead if listening, all I see is arguing. You aren't suppose to argue with someone when they state what they dislike about the place.
-Most of the members find there to be a least a little too much censorship here. What does that say for you?
