New Closet Monster mp3's

Underground Operations updated their website, and there's now a new Closet Monster song available... The song's called "Open scene, open arms; your application is denied" and comes from their new EP "We built this city"...

EDIT: I just found out that the mp3 for another new CM song "Mamma Anti-Facisto" is also available on the site....

So anyone who's interested... here's the song:
Open scene, open arms; your application is denied

EDIT: here's the link to the other song... I personally think this song is better (it sounds more as CM if ya know what i mean...):
Mamma Anti-Facisto

*and if you like it... undergroundoperations.com has more info on how you can get the EP... and the new UO sampler...*

Oh and Manda and Mir... one thing I'm even more excited about.. the new Protest mp3 can be found here... :
Protest the hero - Soft targets make softer graves

(that's enough plugging for today)

the WHOLE closet monster concept is different now with Adam and Brandon taking over backup/lead vocals, they have a completely different sound to Killed The Radio Star where Jesse was backup/lead vocals. They seem to have a heavier vocal sound to them, which makes them sound more metal then they ever have before in my opinion. i wonder what all the 'metal sucks' fans of closet monster think of their new stuff?

1: open arms ... is a great song, i personally love it, its going away from their previous anthemic songs and ive seen pics of this song being performed and it looks fucking insane. Missy reckons its an incredible experience to be in the mosh when the 'raise your fist and shout it out loud' part is going on cos every one does just that ... a type of passionate unity, and thats exactly what i first thought of this song when i heard it for the first time, its passionate and, compared to older stuff, its more mature. i also love Closet Monsters way of adapting an older or crappy song at the end that either backs up their point of view or has NOTHING to do with it ... its a nice touch.

2: mamma anti-facisto takes it all back to the 'lets all chant and jump around' type stuff that every one loves so much about Closet Monster, without really reflecting on thier old stuff too much. again, this song is more mature sounding - lyrically and instrumentally - than their older stuff and, like with open arms..., i really really like it.

3: as far as Soft Targets ... goes, Protest ALWAYS deliver. Arif is forever growing as a writer and it shows. It was an interesting path for them to take having Arif do all the lyrical work for the new album, and as this shows, they did the right thing. thats all i have to say about that.

and there you have my critique of the new shit.

end bullshit amanda dribble.

Aww kimberley, that SUCKS. And yes, I've heard some good reviews about Mama Anti-Facisto as well and it did not disappoint me at all. Manda, I personally think this song does fit with those on Killed the radio star... Open arms is just totally different, and I guess it has to grow on me, also the end of it, Im not sure who else used it on the end of one of their songs, but I think it was Thrice... What about all the 'hahaha's ' on that song, the humorous side of CM

Protest.... just amazes me again. It always surprises me how they make songs unpredictable and how they put so many styles into one song. I haven't even read the lyrics and I already love it..

i've never particularly paid much attention to Protest, but that song definately made me pay attention

and i like the new direction CMs taking on open scene, open arms. i love the guitars that start about 1:05 into the song when they start singing raise your fists and lets shout it out. and once again the older song mashed at the end sounds trippy

and mamma anti-Facisto is a good, solid, unrisky song for them. i love the intro to the song. the first time i listened to it i thought it was a bit boring, but its grown substantially on me now
