On the latest Resident Evil the zombie's were starved in the desert. I don't remember if they were actually dieing but they were starving. And about the North thing. That group of people were heading to Alaska. I can't wait to see what happens to them.

I actually LOVED Diary of the Dead probably because I simply adore all movies from a one camera perspective. Like Quarantine. Which was kinda a zombie movie...but not really.

    Yes, you're right. Paris

Diary of the Dead just bored me. I watched it with my dad when it came out and we were like "....Well..." haha. We try to watch all of the horror films together, specifically the zombie-related ones.

Ooh, love Resident Evil. Really can't say a bad thing about it. Way too overplayed on TV but they're very good!

They ended 28 weeks later in Paris, I believe, so I'm pretty excited to see how the new movie would happen and the plot, etc. Just wanted to say while Im speaking of movies briefly, Diary of the Dead sucked! [Parts were good but overall, disappointing] Totally not what I would have expected, and far from Romero's best.

I understand the dying of starvation bit, and I guess it really all depends on the location the infection is at, I suppose. Like a huge city, fuck! That's probably a lot of people right there that will become infected and carry the disease.
I mean, everyone's trying to escape and leave, half the population in the area is probably working on instinct rather than using their common sense, so naturally, I can see a ton of people not making it. So then you have to worry about it spreading from city to city.. Jeez.

About how long would you estimate a zombie to die out of starvation, by the way? I'd only give it under two weeks if they aren't eating eachother's flesh. (I don't remember if I've ever read anything about a time limit.)

Let's hope if it were to ever happen, it's all the way south in a very low populated area.
I didn't like 28 Days, but 28 Weeks wasn't too bad. I should watch the first movie again though, because I'll probably appreciate it a little more now, than I did when I first watched it. As far as Diary of the Dead, I didn't like it either, and while we're on the subject, the Day of the Dead remake sucked too.

When it comes to escaping an infected area, you probably won't be able to at first, due to the authorities trying to keep everything contained, but I would do what I could to find a way out as soon as possible.

As far as starvation, I don't know how long it would take them to starve, but I would guess a few weeks...I'm pretty sure they wouldn't eat each other either, but even if they did, there's only so much to go around...

I wouldn't return to any infected area until everything died down anyway. I would even wait a few months before even thinking about it. Better to be safe than sorry.

What I don't like about the Resident Evil movies is "Alice", with all her superpowers. I don' even care if they're deviating from the original story of the Resident Evil series (the games), but the superhero crap has to go, and now they have a million Alice clones...come on...
I'm hoping the next movie will revolved around Claire, and whatever goes on in Alaska. Enough with Alice and the magic show.

You should watch "REC", which is the original version of Quarantine. I haven't seen Quarantine, but I did watch REC, and I'm told it's much better. Personally, I think the movie started off good, but the ending was really stupid...

As far as Diary, one of the reasons I didn't like it was because of that kind of camera shooting. I hate that "Blair Witch" style, it's too "shaky" for me....

I watched 28 Weeks then I watched 28 days. 28 Days was boring compared to 28 Weeks because there were so many parts when they weren't even being chased.

I heard about REC and that it was what Quarantine was base off of. I should watch it.

I love that part off of Shaun of the Dead. It's even funnier because the real zombie's actually fell for it.

Yeah... Alice's superpowers are kinda lame. Even though she's hot. My mom's BF complains that he hates the Resident Evil Movies because it doesn't follow the video game's story line. He's a total nerd.

Shawn of the Dead was so ridiculous haha. I bought it on DVD, it was dumb but made me laugh I don't know what drew me to it more - the lameness or the weirdness.

I kind of liked Day of the Dead, though. The remake.
Haven't seen that one in a while.

As fr REC - never seen, but since you said that you were advised it was better than Quarentine, I'm probably going to try to find the time to watch that.

If you don't mind reading subtitles, I would check it out.

I liked that his mother was just being herself in that scene too.

I know how he feels, believe me. I love Resident Evil, and I was a little bummed out that they weren't going to follow the stoyline of the first few games, but I was also curious as to what they were going to actually do instead of it.
Unfortunately, they butchered it. They should have stayed closer to the original storyline, instead of creating this magical being called Alice.

If they're called Resident Evil, have something about Resident Evil in them, other than just the names. Think about it... You could take the last two RE movies, rename them to "Project Alice", and you wouldn't even know it was Resident Evil.
It just seems stupid to me, especially from a series that had more potential...

Have you watched the original Day of the Dead?
It's almost an entirely different movie...You should check it out. It follows a group of scientists, and a military unit, trying to survive in an underground "lab", and it's interesting because it shows how people could act in that sort of situation...which is to say, badly...

    REC wasn't too bad...
I recommend it as a rental, if anything.

Yeah, I have the original on DVD as well
Anything I can't generally find in a store, I just watch online.

I've never heard of REC until now, so I'll just have to check around some movie stores for that.

    I liked the original better.

I'm sure the local video rental store will have it, being Quarantine came it not too long ago.
