So it's been a long time since I wrote a story on here. Let me know what you think.
Avril’s parents were less than thrilled about the news that she was to be marrying Jesse. Jesse was Avril’s boyfriend for three years now and Jesse popped the question just a few days before he was to leave for college. He was granted a full scholarship to college for his amazing abilities in football. Now as Avril sat in front of her parents shocked faces she felt maybe it was not such a good idea for the news to be given in this manner. As it was Jesse was leaving for college in a couple of days. Avril had not yet decided what she wanted to do for school, but she knew that she wanted to be with Jesse. However, explaining this to her parents was useless because they did not believe a 17 year old was capable of deciding what she wanted to do without help.
“You both are so young; perhaps you could wait until you are done college to make such a drastic step?” Judy (Avril’s mother) stated.
“I completely understand what you believe Mrs. Lavigne, but I love Avril with all my heart and I know I am making the right decision” Jesse smiled, squeezing Avril’s hand, to help her feel a little less nervous.
“I believe you think you do Jesse, but if this is meant to be it will still be around after you enter college” Judy informed somewhat rudely.
“Well….” Avril hesitated “It’s my life Mom not yours, so I can make the decision on my own, and I was hoping for your support”.
“Whatever decision you make Avril, your Mother and I will be behind you, but we want to make sure you are making the decision you feel is best. Have you put careful thought into this?” John (Avril’s father) stated sympathetically.
“Thanks Dad and yes we have both put careful thought into this” Avril smiled.
“So you will be going to college with Jesse then?” Judy questioned.
“Yes, but I will just be a phone call away” Avril smiled, hugging her mother.
Avril made her way upstairs to pack her suitcase. She was a bit sad to leave home, she still felt like she belonged at home sometimes. That perhaps she was too young to enter the world on her own, but she had confidence that Jesse could look after them. She packed her favorite clothes; leaving behind the others she just did not have the room for them all. She wished she could pack her entire room but she just could not.
Judy came into the room just as Avril was closing up her suitcase.
“You all packed?” She asked, with a bit of depression in her voice.
“Yea…” Avril looked down.
“I am happy for you sweetie. It’s just hard to think of you getting married when you are only just out of high school”.
“Well we aren’t getting married for at least a year, I mean I am only 17 right now” Avril stated.
“Just don’t rush, you could stay engaged for as long as you wish” Judy smiled.
“Yea I know and we won’t rush Mom”
“You know you can come home at anytime if something goes wrong? You are not banned from our house now that you are moving out” Judy stated.
“I know Mom, and that won’t happen. Jesse has never done anything to hurt me before” Avril smiled, giving her Mom a second hug for the evening.
Avril went to bed that night thinking about in just two days she would be out of this house for more than just a couple nights like she was used to. She sort of felt tears in her eyes as she thought about leaving her parents, but she knew she was making the best decision to go with Jesse. He had been her entire life for the last three years, she spent every spare moment with him and she knew he could take care of them both.

I didn't even know you were still here!!

A non Avryck story fits in nicely in here.
Although they may be right in this one case, considering she wants to be married at 17. Ignore the hypocracy...you're imagining it; Avril did not just marry at 17 in my story...
