I like how she sticks Avril in there but it seems like she was embarrassed to admit that she loves Avril. I think that if you're an Avril fan you should be loud and proud about it!
She said Avril so quietly and than like had to back up why she said Avril, and than she says "yeah weird Avril would fit in with that." Hey wannabe singer and actress, do some research and find out that Avril is the original rock chick and her inspirations come from Joan Jett, hell she even covered one of her songs for her tour. God, this girl doesn't seem very smart at all. When will Disney stop making everyone who is on their show sing? The Jonas Brothers were bad enough.
^A lot of people are ashamed to admit they like Avril. I had a friend and he quietly admited to me in person that he really liked her music. He shut me up when I tried to announce it to everyone.
To some people Avril is their guilty pleasure. Just depends on how you look at an artist, I guess.

Maybe she ashamed because of what happend during "The Best Damn Thing" era? I mean I'm not ashamed or something to be an Avrilfan but if like "Hot" came on TV I'm afraid my friends/parents/siblings would think she turned into a barbie or something. Cause few years ago when I was fan they knew Avril was like someone who was against these kind of things. Sorry I can't explain well but I think you guys know what I mean.

i imagine some manufacturing plant at disney hq the rolls a few out every month , or maybe more of an alliens thing with a queen disney star they kept from the 50s in a basement who squeezes out a few eggs every week and they hatch into fully formed tween stars , but only the ones with perfect teeth and smile are kept alive and the rest get gassed
It was easier to admit being an Avril fan before TBDT. I know some people who were like the craziest fan ever and after TBDT, they are still fans, but more quietly and maybe ashamed of being a fan, and all because of Girlfriend and TBDT album.

Avril has always had controversy around her. She can be deeply loved or deeply hated, there's no much balance about it. A good definition you gave: guilty pleasure. I think she's one of the artist having more "hidden" fans, at least here.
I think it's cool to see so many people liking her, not only Disney stars.

I don't see the fuss about Disney stars. yes, they're al fake but do they have be to be pierced, tattoed or swear on tv to be 'cool'? Their audience are kids! there's so much hate towards them on here but I know if I were a kid, I'd prefer a styled Hannah Montana with perect teeth instead of a bratty teenager. yes, they give the impression that everything is perfect and fun but so what? that's what kids need!
Sorry for that, just thought I'd defend the work, started by one of the greatest men in history.
