Sharifa's Give Miley Cyrus A Chance Thread

Hey all


Ok so I know Miley Cyrus gets a bad rap as being another overexposed talentless kid-star churned out by the Disney machine and I'll tell you that this time last year I thought the exact same thing. But then I heard her song "The Climb" and I was really blown away by her voice and by the emotion she gives the song.


So after that, I started following her a bit more and the more I read the more I got impressed. She's a smart kid with a good heart and a lot of drive which sometimes makes her come across way too commercially. But underneath it all, she has the talent to back it up and I think we're going to see a lot more creativity coming from her on her future projects. I also love the fact that she lived in my hometown Toronto for 7 years



Anyways, Miley is definitely one of the artists I want to Bandaid in the next year, but before that happens I wanted to take a moment to try and convince some of you that Miley is worth a second glance!

She's got a good voice, I won't doubt that! I just don't really her her songs . I would never call her 'talentless.'

However, my 10-year-old sister Kate really likes her and that's why I'd love Miley Bandaids, so I can give her Miley updates. Sharifa, this is your site and I think YOU should Bandaid the people YOU like too!

I hated her at the start, but hearing the stuff from her "Breakout" album, I was quite pleased to it. Now hearing "The Climb" and "PArty In The U.S.A." really got meinto liking her songs. I recently just dowloaded her EP "Time Of Our Lives" and I already love the "self-titled" song.

I think Miley is my favourite teen-oriented singer.

Oh and it's sooo weird that I'm in the same grade as her (Junior Year if I was to study in America)

Even though Miley is highly annoying, I dig her music...or should I say her writers/producers.

i like her products but i really wouldnt say that miley should take all the credit for that. idk if she writes music at all (i know she bought party in the usa idk about any others), shes too dependent on auto-tune (if you listen to her live vs the records you know what i mean) and she really doesnt have that much imput on "her" clothing line.
HOWEVER, i love all of these things. her musics not bad and the miley cyrics and max azaria (sp) line is one of the only lines i would consider wearing at walmart.
the only thinkg i know about miley is her performing, and im not a fan. did you see what she wore for the royal gala? she was performing for the queen in HOTPANTS. lady gaga had brains enough to cover up! it wouldnt be so bad if she didnt say that she desires to be a role model.
in short, miley cyrus inc. is great. im not sure yet about miley cyrus.

I actually have noticed her the last few months as to having a lot of potential in the future. At the moment she isnt represented properly, and not given a fair chance. We will see in the future where she goes.
