The reason he keeps bringing it up is because everyone keeps asking him about Avril. Just about every interview he gets, they ask him about their relationship. He probably wants to get away from her and shine on his own, but he still loves her as a friend and wants her opinions musically in addition to helping her out.
Meh. I just don't like him much.

Him using Avril for his own fame? Absolutely not. In fact, have you been in his ustreams? Or read any of his interviews? He's constantly asked about her, not the other way around.
Evan's an all around great guy, not that I personally know him (just judging on how his interaction and relationship with his fans are). He's very generous and really does listen to the opinions coming from his fans.
All he wants to do is make his own album and play music.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to change anyone from dissing him to loving him, I wouldn't try to do that, just writing how I feel about it.

Yeah, I get what you mean Matt. I think he's a good song-writer and I'm really looking forward to seeing what he and Avril came up with for the new album, but some of the stuff he says gets repetitive concerning Avril. Plus, I don't think he's totally amazing. He's extremely generous with fans and he does try to answer a lot about Avril. He's great for doing the ustreams and even trying to have Avril on one of them, but what if his music career was going somewhere and he sold millions of records? He couldn't and most likely wouldn't do all the same stuff. I'm sure he'd still try to have a good relationship with fans, but if he were put in Avril's position, he wouldn't spend as much time on his fans. Although I'm sure he's very grateful to have them and Avril in his life.

Pretty much most of what I wanted to say has been said by Britt and Adam.
I'll add two more things.
First, I don't get why some people think that Evan acts like he's full of himself. I really don't.
Second, to the person who made a comment about Starbucks Girl, I have to ask - are you gonna judge him on just one song alone? I admit, I'm not crazy about the song, but I think that's because of the song's production - I would love to hear an acoustic version. But I would have to ask you to think of your favorite music artist, be it Avril, or anyone else. Now think of the song that that artist has done that you like the least. Again, would you judge that person(s) by that one song alone? I know I wouldn't. I hope you don't, either.
Evan is a great guy, a talented songwriter and musician, and a true friend to Av. 'Nuff said.
