Sparx – Marc : “I love this pic for so many reasons:
Firstly I love her pose. It's one of Avril's classic poses but with a modern twist; a new edgy take on the "I don't give a damn" feel, but with subtlety and seduction.
Secondly, I adore her hair in this pic. I know that sounds weird because of the piece that lies aimlessly across her forehead, but I feel it makes her look more real. It doesn't look like people have been spraying 500ml of hairspray over her beautifully toned locks 2 seconds beforehand. And what's even better is that Avril doesn't even seem to care!
Thirdly I find her make-up flawless; It seems so natural and pure. It's not overdone and, as I said in my previous point, it makes her REAL!
Fourth: the lighting of the image is perfectly controlled. The brightness of the pic gives a feeling of purity; Avril can do no wrong! Which bring me to my fifth and final point...
The timing of the release of this picture/photoshoot was flawless; it came at a time when most members were begging to lose faith in our gorgeous little Av! I remember the feeling I got when I saw the pic: "This is TOTALLY AVRIL! She is still amazing, still looks amazing, and is still here!" It just reminded me about everything I love about her.

I chose this photo for these exact reasons. Not only does Avril look BEAUTIFUL, but she is doing what her job/career is, and what she does best-performing and singing. This is what got her famous, and will always keep her famous. She gained all us fans because of her music, and it has such a large impact on all of us. This photo demonstrates these qualities accurately. Her outfit completes the 'sexy' look, and being on-stage, while holding a microphone AND singing pretty much completes the photo!
Also, you guys named this challenge 'The Best Damn Thing,' and this photo was shot in that album's photoshoot”
S: It’s one of my favorite Avril pics. I always wished I could have seen more pics of the same set in this shoot, even though other sets of the shoot had more pics in it. She looks amazing for sure. The setting, the pose, the make-up and the hair all make a great concept. I like how you explained it, and I can see what you mean when I look at the pic. Well releated!

Y: Another pic i love. I was searching for that poster for ages XD Anyway...I like the outfit cause it's sexy and rock enough at the same time. Her hair and make up is amazing. Her pose is smth we see a lot at her concerts and that makes the shoot pic real in a way. But, her expression looks fake. She can't make me believe that she really sings. It's the only thing i dislike. The rest is perfect!

S: I really like this picture of Avril and honestly I didn’t expect that this would have been sent since people usually use her other pics from the Let Go era so yeah,it was a nice surprise to see this pic. I agree with your comment on her sweet and innocent look. But I think she also looks like she is a bit guilty because she did something naughty or forbidden that her mom wouldn’t approve of and got mad at. So I think there is a contrast in this pic for me and I like this pic because of the opposite feelin gs it includes. I am glad that Naked lyrics are there because her outfit and her hair,and also her make-up fit it because she looks like she just got up and got out of her bed. Also she looks a bit scared and the words in the lyrics “keep me from my fears”.

S:I knew it that one of the final entry pics would be from this shoot,lol! I remember having it as a poster on my wall in my room. I get what you mean from your explanation but without your explanation,I wouldn’t be able to relate the pic to your explanation and probably I would have defined her as a tomboy and crazy girl who lives life like the way she wants. I just wish you would have explained what you think of her feelings represented in the pic,too.

S:I have to admit I really like this pic of her but I like colored versions of this better. The ones which aren’t black&white. I state it in order to see her eyes better. I would love to see her eyes being greenish blue. Also I like lipstick color of her in the pic so much and I wish I were able to see it,too and her amazing hair… However,I agree with you about dark,deep and mysterious terms since the pic is black&white and it’s UMS era.

Here she started to wear dresses and fishnets, expirement with her hair and make up more, etc and find out who she is. Black and white is the photo's colour, and her hair was black and blonde during this era, and her clothes, style and album were more on the 'dark' [black] side
S:woow I love this pic a lot and OMG once again another black and white pic in the same round. Yeah I see what you mean and I think she looks more femine and she seems to leave tomboy image behind and she looks like she is slowly discovering the woman inside her. However,she still represents her crazy,rock and punk style and it shows she is still real Avril that changes eventually with time and is getting more and more mature everyday. Yeah once again it is dark side of her.

S: Before commenting on your pic,I have to say that you are obsessed with the pics that Avril looks innocent there which is rare to see. I like this pic of her a lot because she is finally in a different atmosphere.yeah,it is an outdoor pics which makes me feel better when the weather is so sunny here,too so I could relate my own mood to hers,lol. The environment in pics always are appreciated by me which I have never told before because I always would like you guys to find out it on your own .And yay I can finally see her beautiful eyes in colors! I like her hair and her pink streak represents the album theme which can be related to TBDT era. Also,I’m finally glad to see a different outfit which is not girly and junior-ish like the clothes she wore in TBDT era.

Her hair is being blown a bit, yet everything else is so still. (Can be a metaphor as to how she is so grounded (like a mobile! ^^) although everything around her 'is changing')
She is also wearing a pink shirt , and pink was the colour of TBDT era.. also, it's a polka dot shirt (like TBDT CD cover's shirt! ^^)

S:I really like this pic of her a lot, I love how mysterious she looks and how mysterious her eyes are in the pic. Her skull bracelet and her pink top makes me feel that this is a pic from TBDT era. I can see the things you mentioned which represents TBDT era and you are right about it. Also I think her pose makes her look so self-confident but the background is so plain. I wish the atmosphere could be more different. Although I love this pic a lot, I am not so feeling it,sorry!
