It not surprising that you would see it that way, but what do you really know about this guy? Because I just read about this guy in the photo and he admits to being a paparazzi on his website. In his own words here is a partial quote about what this guys say about himself:"My obsession of pop culture combined with my love of chaotic, adrenaline-ridden moments – and the fact that I recently found myself in Los Angeles have driven me to try my hand at the game of celebrity photography (paparazzi!)."- It seems quite reasonable to me that Avril may have been a bit hesitant to get a photo taken with him, since she likely did not get a good vibe from him.
Also: Here is what this paparazzi guy said when he saw Avril:"I ran over to the VIP parking lot, and begged her for a photo! I didn’t want to take any pictures of her against her will, which she seemed very afraid I would. I was nice, and finally with some reluctance she agreed to the photo with me. How nice!"- It also seems quite reasonable to me that Avril could have easily been startled buy this guy, I am glad she is being careful aren't you?
