wow, how do you know those singers. I only heard about Maria Tanase cause she was a great romanian singer but i only listened 1 or 2 songs of her, i just find out that she died in 1963 :O. I don't know Nelu Stan. There are some beautiful folk songs here.

yeah, the confusion about Transylvania is because it was a province of Kingdom of Hungary, but it was always a romanian province from Dacia.
And there are still little villages where they speak only magyar, they doesn't know one word in romanian.I think it's stupid.
They populated Transylvania with magyars to look like a hungarian province, the school was in magyar (the main language was romanian) , the romanian have no rights etc.

But also the confusion is made because of Dracula or Vlad the Impaler, because people know they are from Transylvania, not from Romania.

I bought those Romanian LPs a long time ago, from a used record store in Montreal.
They must have belonged to a Romanian immigrant to Canada at one time. We have
lots of Romanians living here in Quebec, because French is easy for them to learn,
being also a Latin language.

There were also a large population of Donau Schwaben (Germans) in Transylvania.
I don't know how many remain there now.

There was a Hungarian/American actor, named Bela Lugosi, who popularized the
Dracula myth in many motion pictures. This could have helped to give the impression
that Transylvania was still in Hungary.

The red toxic sludge, that flooded Hungarian villages earlier this week, has made it
to the Danube; threatening neighboring Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Serbia etc.

This is very worrisome. I feel very sorry for the poor people, who have been affected
by this major catastrophe. In most cases, they will never be able to return to their
homes, the land and waterways having become contaminated beyond repair.

BTW, I have always loved Roma music. Many people do not know that
the Roma people originated in India. Here is some information about that:

The languages, knowledge and culture of Europe and the civilized world,

bottom of the Mediterranean Sea, near the Isle of Antikihera, south
