Lots of personal promo, but no class.

It may have happened that Christina was cold. And if so, that was not cool of Christina. Mean people suck. But what Av did was meaner. Did Christina blow Avril off on TV, in front of the world? No. Did Christina do it to her at the Brit Awards? No. She wasn't there. So this was old crap.

So it's not like Av just had to respond. Instead Av dredged up an old story. Just had to purposely go out of her way to show even less class. She goes for promo, more promo than she is getting on her promo tour.

Avril was not asked about Christina. Av volunteered big time to take a dump on someone who is the world's biggest punching bag right now. Because people just love shooting fish in a barrel. Crapping on Christina at this time is so damn cliche. I say be daring, shoot down Lady Gaga or Katy Perry, be really daring if you're gonna bitch about someone. But no. Let's beat up on someone already the most down.

Avril went there anyway, chose to appeal to the lowest, most common denominator. She's been around long enough to know she was sure to get big headlines. Bigger headlines than her return, than WTH. Now that is some smart PR, I'll give her that. Look at how much most of you and the world is enjoying Av's nastiness.

So she did play off on Christina's current sad lot = people's love of hating Christina right now = and it payed off in headlines for herself. So calculated. Esp since she mentioned it not once but twice, and even called it 'pulling a Christina.'

I actually think Avril was right to say that. I mean, if someone had done something like that to me, I'd be really pissed.
I think it's awesome that she stayed cool about it and turned it into a joke.

I really love Avril and Christina. Maybe Xtina had a bad day or was just shy. She can be very shy. Poor Avril :-( I love them both. I can't wait for Avril's fifth and Xtina's seventh album :-) I'm really interessted in Avril's first single from new album... Can't wait :-(

I remember this interview! It was great especially since I hate the likes of Britney and Christina's music. I laughed for a month every time I heard about this lol
