Once again, I am not trashing Avril for choosing that direction, I just can't help to see the obvious hints and clues on why Avril is going hiphop.

So for those who is in denial that Avril will go hiphop, Accept it, or you will end up disappointed.

I mean, there are literally dozens of reason why Avril is going hiphop, from listening to Lil wayne, from her fashion obsession with hoodies and her urban slang such as " dope " and "word" which she never used when she used to be a rock chick.

Yeah L.A Reid and Epic is Smart, but also, remember Avril wants to do what she wants and she wants to be fully control.

What we should be concerned is the quality of her album regardless of genre.

I won't have problem with it. Although Avril better not use the word "rocker" and "rock" and "rockstar lifestyle" She needs to drop it out of her lifestyle and vocabulary And change her twitter description to " Professional Rocker" to "Queen of Rap.

Because it's a big insult and blasphemy if she still think and call herself "Professional Rocker" if she is doing urban album.

This case is not only about Avril, I hate it when a hiphop person trying to do and use some rockstar words, persona and attitude/lifestyle. Just because I also love hiphop It doesn't mean they can adapt and use some of the rockstar culture and attitude, HELL NO, it only belong to rockstars and rock music fans/crowd.

I agree about the "Professional Rocker" description on Twitter, but for the rest of your'e post I think you went wayyyyyyyyyy too far!

Honesty as long as she doesn't make a stupid song like "Dance A$$"/"Rack City"/"Birthday Cake"/"Stupid Hoe" or straight rap song (without melody) like "The Motto"/"6 Foot 7 Foot" etc ...I am pretty much fine.
And I am 99% sure she will not make any of these songs.

Lmaoooooo this thread. Avril will know full well how flat out ridiculous she would look if she EVER attempted to release a hip-hop album. I'm a fan of Rihanna, I love Rihanna, but i'm certainly not hugely interested in hip-hop music. Rihanna releases POP MUSIC. Avril enjoys Rihannas music... Avril also releases pop music. So what if shes working with Alex da Kid and The runners? California king bed is absolutely flawless and if Avril released a song of that standard i'd be more than pleased. 'Love the way you lie' is flawless too.... how come the likes of hayley williams can release a 'urban' song like 'airplanes' and everyone laps it up yet people get a sniff of Avril working with similar producers and her own fans are ripping into her for it?
She will never release an urban/hip-hop album lmao, she knows she'd look an absolute joke if she did. Some people need to realise theres a difference between listening to that music and making it, Avril enjoys Rihanna (as do most people..) yet I doubt shes keen to release a song like 'S&M'.

Guys you are jumping into conclusions.
Just because her producers are mainly rap music producers (& btw they also did some pop and R&B stuff!) it doesn't mean Avril is going to rap on the whole album. Just trust the girl...she knows what she's doing. Actually it might sound really good - Pop/rock records with urban beat and production.
By the way Alex/The Runners/Pharrell > generic producers like Dr. Luke and Max Martin.

I am not ripping Avril going hiphop, I used to but not anymore, My point is just looking at the obvious signs, taste of music and her choice of language ( "dope" and "word" is very urban ).

Whatever she may come up with I will support her if she brings a quality music regardless of the genre.

With Hayley Williams VS Avril, This is not only my opinion ( I used to ) but others as well, they admit that it's more easy and acceptable to see Hayley Williams collaborating and doing a hiphop/urban song than Avril, even my hiphop friends feels the same, they feel utterly akward and uncomfortable seeing her being a hiphop/urban girl even if it's obvious she is becoming more like one.

I even know bunch of people who have no problem if Taylor Momsen listens or become an urban girl, but those same people cringed in the thought of Avril becoming one.

It's really a bias but, I see where they came from, I mean the ROCK CHICK PERSONA AND ATTITUDE that Avril projects and showed is so sincere that it made a lasting impression among people, fans and non fans a like, and seeing her embracing a direct opposite urban/hiphop culture is least expected and very shocking.

But whatever, urban or not, Avril will came up with new style.

If she came up with hiphop ( 90% she will ) she will surely do it a lot of sense and depth. Similar to those 90s style of urban music, Something with substance.

Im starting have no patient for waiting 5th album. Avrils only talkin around she works with whoever in studio, what kind of music should 5th album belong to. she often stops update her twitter and FB , its like we lose connecting and interacting with each other, I hate this situation. Yes she did tweeted she feel excited with her songs. But the amount just few for LBS

I hope I can see any pics or video in studio... AND share what instrumentals she touched, is it hard to handle the vocal ? some details about 5th album !!!!! actually what adj she use to describe her coming album? " Fun ", its too shallow !!!!!I want sth deeper description...
