Alright so I tried the Cross Eye 3D technique on the video and it was pretty good. But DO NOT try the technique on the video more than once. If you are desperate to watch it without a 3D TV/glasses watch the video ONLY ONCE crossing your eyes!
I watched it twice on my laptop and once on my TV last night. When I woke up today morning, I regretted it badly. My eyes were watering and hurting.
My video experience:
Well the beginning of the video is pretty ordinary. It's basically Avril and the boyfriend standing out from the background. They are a bit forward and shiny while the background appears further away. The bedroom scene is ok.
The basketball scene is pretty nice cause it is outdoors. Again here you will see Avril kinda of standing out while all the basketball players surround her. The whole basketball court has a nice 3D feel to it.
The best scene in the whole video to me was the shopping scene. Because the shopping store really looks nice with beautiful detail. When Avril roams around the store, everything looks colorful and the 3D looks nice while she flips through clothes in between the aisles. Plus the scene where Avril throws the shoes and clothes at the camera is really cool. However it doesn't come OUT of the screen. You feel it come towards you, but it ends when it reaches the side of the computer/TV.
The hallway scene when she enters the bar is pretty good. Cause the hallway adds a 3D dimension and extends far into the screen. Again you can see Av & boyfriend standing out from the background. The blue lighting adds to a nice 3D infinite feel.
The concert scene is done really well. Avril looks really nice in 3D on the stage. And the crowd is blended in well so you actually feel like you're there. Again here the prime focus is on Avril while everything else is blurred. I love when she crowd surfed. She stood out really nice and it felt really good. Although I wish the crowd surf could have been a bit longer. Cause she looked great in 3D on the crowd.
The additional commercial advertising really ruined the video though. Cause when you are concentrating on the 3D scene, those scenes just come out of nowhere and ruin the whole 3D. You need to refocus sometimes because of those advertising scenes. Don't know why they added them so out of focus.
And that's about it.
I am not much of a 3D fan, because I love 3D coming OUT OF the screen rather than 3D INTO the screen. For example, Step Up 3D had some really awesome "out of the screen" scenes. And I absolutely love that movie because of the 3D. Other movies were more like 2D films itself. There is not much difference or significance. Just the people stand out. While some movies like Avatar, Tangled, had some nice "into the screen" 3D scenes.
That being said, I think this Music Video is done pretty well. They obviously knew what the were doing with all the angles and stuff to make the 3D look pretty cool. It makes sense why they made this a 3D video and why they released in both versions. The entire video was made keeping 3D in mind.
If you do ever watch it, you will appreciate it more and understand why the video scenes were shot like that. Almost all of the scenes were shot in specific angles and ways to emphasize the 3D. As far as Spectacular MIND BLOWING 3D goes, this video doesn't have much.
Again if you are desperate to use the Cross Eye method, I recommend using it not more than once. Even while watching if you don't feel anything, please do not watch it more than once. Cause when you wake up the next morning you will have a headache or pain in your eyeballs.
If you get a chance to watch it on a 3D TV go ahead. Or else give it a miss.
Sorry for such a long review. Didn't realize I rambled so much :P

thats awesome!!!!!!!!!

can I see it without 3D glasses? or no difference ...?

If you play the video normally, I believe it'll just look normal, but you'll see the video playing twice (next to each other). It would look a bit strange - easier to just watch the 2D video! (Youtube VEVO was the best quality at 1080p). Would look like this - To view the link you have to RegisterOriginally Posted by EvanYT To view the link you have to Register
Avril recording in 3D was a nice idea, and there's no downside in doing it (other than cost a bit more i guess) but i agree that most fans don't have a 3D TV etc. If they played the video in a cinema before a 3D movie.. would be awesome, but other than that, i can't see much point at the moment.
Whether we can watch this in future probably depends on if 3D TV catches on! Personally it sounds like a waste of time to me, as you have to buy expensive glasses, and watch a whole movie with them on :\. And to watch a 3d movie you'd have to buy a more expensive player... and followed by one of a few movies in 3d.
PS. Crossing eyes as above sounds like a really bad idea!! Just wait to watch it on a 3d TV!
