I said performance time, not show time. I don't include stupid instrumentals, videos (bad repuation), movie intros (Alice).
Why can't she perform Unwanted insteasdd of the band just playing the instrumental.
To be honest she should be aiming for 2 hours by now, i seen Amy Macdonald (2 albums) and both shows were just under 2 hours, non stop performing, no gaps in between.
But i'm going to stop whining about this, as every artist is different...

That's usually what happens, opinions change on a daily basis. Annoying? Cool, keep living in a world where you think what Avril is doing is acceptable. It was fine at the first few shows and now i've come to realize it's nothing more than what she was doing on TBDT. You honestly think this is a good tour? Seriously? I'm not trying to slam Avril but if she expects to stay around like she keeps saying then she needs to evolve as an artist. I had high hopes for this tour sadly those have been crashing down during every performance when it's a video from 4 years ago that they think is okay to put in the setlist. But w/e you want Lewis, just try not to be too crushed when they have to cancel her tour when people catch onto this BS and don't buy tickets.Originally Posted by -Lewymocha- To view the link you have to Register

Those who are critical but still a fan have the right to voice their opinions....
While those whoa are no longer a fan don't have the right to be here.

I never seen a artiste put out a world tour before 2nd single release ..i glad we get to hear Smile live once again with full band ....I wish she could play piano when she sing " ALice " since she write that song by herself ..and that smokey part is so funny that make the performance more epic coz she is in the "wonderland "![]()

Okay okay I agree with some of you, I believe that this is only a 'pre-tour', just to say ‘Hey Im back’ to the world. It kicked off way too early, promo for the 2nd single hasn't even officially started. Also, I don't like to compare her to other artists but I have to remind you that Lady Gaga, Katy Perry (or I should say Lady Perry now....) and Bieber haven't been in the music business as long as Avril, I believe they all have 2 albums out (maybe 3?), so we can't compare them to someone who just released her 4th record and someone who followed a complete different path frpm those artists. Plus they can all dance on stage, or at least try to, so what's there left for Avril to do on stage? Have a circus on like P!nk or Britney? Dance around with choreographers (oh wait she already did the silly dance moves once upon a time...)? So besides singing and running around the stage, the only thing that's left for her is playing instruments and interact more with the audience which she has done lately. (or possibly learn acrobatics and do something new
). So far, she’s only played that one song on the piano and one on the guitar just to 'say' she has which is totally ridiculous. I mean, we all know she has way more potential than that.
And I think what annoys people like me the most is not just the show itself (at this point of course), its Avril saying something and then doing the opposite. According to her, this tour was meant to be a theatrical tour in smaller venues, now she tries to please everyone and sing all the upbeat and Max martin songs from GL... she just tries so hard by giving a little bit of this and little of bit of that to people to keep the old fans and please the new ones. To me it just can’t work, she had her time for the upbeat and bratty stuff, now why just not focusing on the new songs and perform them with real emotions, just like when she wrote them.
To me what would fit best would be a bonez tour type with more songs from GL, some solo performances with no band at all (like when she performed Slipped Away) and if she really has to play her old upbeat singles like Girlfriend she could play them in acoustic.
Again the tour has just started so let's give it a shot and I'm confident that she will change the setlist and produce a better, hopefully a good show, that’s worth attending.
I do want to feel something you'd call real
but I don't think that I've got time for these scars to heal...

Hm why does she pronounce some words a bit strange? 'always there' in wywh and 'all' in stop standing there and 'need to hear' in wyg.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Although Avril plays what 2 chords on the piano in SST and we are still questioning her ability at guitar since we can never hear her play. Right now Avril is just a singer, she isn't proving to be a musician.Originally Posted by x.Dreamer To view the link you have to Register

The name of a theme from the future... Fifth of September hasn't come yet![]()
^ what?

comparing and judging Avril's performance on China, HK, South Korea and Singapore. Singapore is the least best.
Avril's Private concert in NYC and her performance on Wallmart sound check is simply off the hook and great, same thing in China, HK, Korea, but no, Singapore is the least best
I believe that there's something going on behind the scene, and I think that there's something going on Avril's mind that involve personal matters.
