Re: The tags... OK, so PunkMatic filmed and is sharing it. Great. But do they have Av's permission? WTH no. So while they own the video files, they do not own the contents. Hence the tag is BS. And then they are in freaking red on top of that. But hey what are ya gonna do?
Bitch some more. No seriously, this is the second best, amateur-filmed show I've seen from the tour. From a technical standpoint, relatively nice job. Especially since there has not been a HQ pro video of a BST rock show.
The best is still Singapore. The video is better. The sound is not perfect but much better. That video @ youtube, is presented by [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CCDYcEDhGY&feature=channel_video_title"]josiebubu[/ame] And guess what? It is not tagged. Boku kudos.
And not tagging did not seem to hurt that too much. Probably helped people to appreciate it more. One file has over 64,000 views. On Avril-Media, where I offered an download, I credited and linked up the yt jb video (just like I did right above here). Course then you got those A-holes at Avril Ru Team (hey, I meant Avril-holes!) that took josiebubu's files, offered a download, but did not link or credit, only credited themselves. Like they had filmed it. Hell A-Ru in the past has tagged video files they did not even film. So I can see why punkmatic feels like tagging.
But if you don't own the contents/have permission from the artist, you have no right to tag. If you're gonna share, please credit. So these people won't feel they have to tag. And if you're gonna still tag it, at least make it sort of worth it to the average viewer. Get an audio recording to which it is worth listening. You're better off that way...
UPDATE: 8.15.11 1:40 PM ET: PS Oi! Sorry about the triple-bitch before! Somehow when editing this comment at the time I wrote it, it triple-posted. Oi-oi! Then I could not access the site so I could not check it. Oi-oi-oi!
