It's been several months since the horrible disasters in Japan were reaching everyone's lips but Avril is still working hard to raise awareness and try to help all of the people who were affected. In addition to the two tops she designed specifically for Japan relief through her Abbey Dawn clothing line (with all proceeds going to her charitable organization to support the Mercy Corps’ “Comfort for Kids” program), she even announced a bag collaboration she did with Samantha Thavasa and the Canadian Embassy to further lend a helping hand. The bag, according to her foundation, is "to support a scholarship program for young people affected by the triple disaster to study English in Canada!" She attended a special press conference in Tokyo specifically to discuss the collaboration and even gave guests (and photogs) a glimpse at their design!
