R.I.P 9/11 ~ 10th Anniversary Thread

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the horrific terroists attacks on America on the morning of September 11th 2001

On this horrible day 4 passanger planes were hijacked. Two of the airplanes crashed into the World Trade Center (The Twin Towers) in New York City. The third plane was crashed into the Pentagon in Washington, D.C and the last plane was going to crash into another building in Washington, D.C., but the brave passengers stopped the hijackers, and the plane crashed into a field instead




In total 3,497 people lost their lives through these awful attacks

This was a day that shook the world. It wasn't just Americans, family members or the goverment that was affected.. 9/11 took a peice of all of us. There were also 327 foreign nationals:

It was the most awful thing that could possibly happen to this decade so far.

1,609 people lost a spouse or partner on 9/11.
More than 3,051 children lost parents.






My thoughts and prayers and go out to the friends and family of the victims. Nothing like this should ever be aloud to happen again!

This is one of the hardest days for me to go through. I was six days shy of 11 and I remember that day more than any other from that age. It's just easier for my to avoid all TV, radio and internet so I wouldn't have see that stuff again, but it's important for people to remember.

Thoughts and prayers to all who lost their lives and those who were affected by it.

I can't believe it has been 10 years ago already, still remember just coming home from school and seeing those terrible images on the TV. My thoughts go out to all the victims of 9/11 and to all the families, friends who have lost their loved ones that day.

and in case anyone wondering, why is there very few people commenting on this thread, or why do Avril did not mentioned it on her twitter.

Think again, 9/11 is a very tragic event, so many people will rather not talk about it, but it doesn't mean they and Avril is not affected by it.

This event will always be remember, if people from other parts of the world who have no family in 9/11 casualties yet affected by this, I can only imagine the pain of those who have love ones there.

It's scary that it's all happens because of hate and twisted principles.

My heart goes out to all the victims and friends and family of the victims. This was a truly tragic day and it will never be forgotten.

That being said, Avril does not need to bring it up on Twitter. One of my Facebook friends was angry that more people were posting about the Bears game than 9/11. I find it ridiculous that she wants people to Los about 9/11. It's your own personal decision if you want to or not. However, even so, we should just honor those who lost their lives. Another friend of mine was making JOKES about this tragic even through Facebook. It was completely out of the line...

Yes, I even remember seeing tweets about how we shouldn't trend AVRIL IS BEAUTIFUL on a day like that. Yes, even my heart goes out to all the people who lost their lives and families , but we simply cannot stop everyday activity simply to mourn.
