I didn't like that she sang too quietly or turned away from the mic at times so you couldn't hear her. She's been doing the weird pronunciation thing for a while now, I'm sort of used to it. I read once that it's easier to sing when you open your mouth wider, so maybe that's why her pronunciation is a little different. I love her shoes and red microphone!

I'm trying to figure out how we go from stunning wal-mart soundcheck, TF, and Rooftop performances to seriously the worst vocals. There are amateurs singing better than that. I know she can do better she is just lazy and hopefully she will snap around for the parade tomorrow.

Getting warmed up for the Florida performances? She shouldn't need to be getting warmed up for anything she just got off of her tour a few weeks ago, if she gets out of shape that fast vocally then there are a lot more issues that need to be addressed. Want to know why WWYH is failing to rise as high as expected on iTunes? No one can understand what she is saying and she looked hung over with her sunglasses on.

That song can be so beautiful, we have proof of that. Why doesn't she sing with OHHH AHH parts before she breaks into the rest of the bridge? When she doesn't do that the song really lacks any emotion especially since she has been singing it so monotone. There is practically no range to her voice in those performances. What kills me is knowing she is so much more capable of really blowing these acoustic performances away but she isn't. She just don't give a crap.

then we get that crap for her most important market....The U.S. If she is going to half ass it then at least use playback like she did for Dick Clark.

These performances were so heavily autotuned my ears were bleeding listening to them. Honestly I don't see why so many of you like those so much.

I really liked Wish You Were Here on Big Morning Buzz Live. What The Hell was very good too but the acoustic version doesn't really fit the lyrics in my opinion. And I do agree the sunglasses were unnecessary.

Really agree with this though. It's the best part of the song. She used to really mess it up at the beginning of the tour but in her latest concerts she always sang it perfectly. It adds a lot of emotion to the song and shows how strong her voice is and what she can really do with it.

Also, why didn't they turn up the volume of her mic? We can barely hear her, especially when she turns away.

Anyway, thanks for posting, awesome performance.

You realize singers won't always sound their best every single time, right? It's impossible unless you'd like her to lip sync from now on. She wasn't even speaking the way she normally does (her voice was noticeably deeper) so I kind of expected her singing would sound a little different than how she's been sounding lately. "Wish You Were Here" sounded a little flat on GMA but I liked everything else. This acoustic one (VH1) was much better to me.

You realize singers won't always sound their best every single time, right? It's impossible unless you'd like her to lip sync from now on. Two days in a row she sounds horrible. She has been doing this 10 years, if she was new it would be understandable but she isn't. Maybe instead of bowling for some pointless app that shows you where night clubs were she should be sleeping to rest up her voice so it wouldn't sound like crap. Macy's is going to be horrible, hoping she'll lip sync instead of singing with her weird pronunciations and flat notes.

It wasn't two days in a row, both this performance and GMA were taped yesterday, actually. The Picksie thing was additional promo. I don't see what was wrong with Avril being able to do both a promo-related appearance and have fun. Seriously, it was just bowling, she wasn't partying and getting drunk off her ass last night. I get that she's a singer, she needs to take care of herself but why should her every focus be to resting? Is she not allowed to do anything else she enjoys? All singers who actually do sing have their really amazing, mind blowing moments and they also experience some not so good ones. It's just part of being human, no matter how much experience you have, you won't always be spot on and flawless. She wasn't that bad and the performances of "Wish You Were Here" that you linked weren't exactly the best examples to use since those programs edit and polish the live performances.

what the hell is wrong with Avril's voice on the last WYWH performances??

Just saw the 2 latest perfoms of WYWH live on VH1 Buzz and Good Morning America, and someone needs to say that, she sounds BADDD!

after i saw her sings WYWH live on Majors & Minors, I was so expecting for these Live shows (casue she sounded AMAZING on M&M and we got only half of it)


I dont get it, how she's recording at the studio these days if she sounds like that? I know she CAN sound good almost perfect, but we got 2 live shows and same crap?

lets be more specific:
-The intro is soo bad (which is one of the beautiful parts of the song and she ruined it ), sometimes I feel like i could sing it better - and i cant sing!

-She used to sing on Z100 in NYC and on walmart, the last part of the 2verse really high and beautiful, ("but right now i wish you were here, damn...") she's not doin it anymore! (too hard?)
not to talk about the "ohhh ahh" part that is BRILLIANT and she totally deleted it lol ( we must give that part a better name t_t)

-Another bad thing is the chours (yeah yeah/damn damn) really shacky :S

I really dont get it, why she sings like that? why she's taking off all the powerfull parts on the song?
I feel like i want to see her and tell her "Avril, what's the deal with you??! you r embarrassing yourself"

Don't get me wrong I'm obsessed with Avril and i'm her #1 worshiper lol, but she's confusing me with her voice so much lately...its kind of a mystery lol

PLEASE stop with the stupid comments of "she sounds mature" or "she just sings low" dont twist it...its not good..
