This is actually not a big deal, her singing on playback. I mean she prerecorded it, its not like she just used a song directly from her album and shes on a fucking float. Not a big deal at all.

I don't know whose briliant idea this was, but who ever was responsible for this should never work with Avril again. Avrils lack of popularity is not because they havent heard of her. It's because people don't like this current version of Avril. After this one minute of poor lip syncing their poor opinion of her is only strengthened. She gained pretty much nothing positive for this but the damage she got is permanent. Even if she never lip sync again people will use this as evidence that she is a lip syncher. Pretty hard to argue against if you lip sync in front of millions of people.

And no, that she was forced to lip sync or that everybody else was also lip syncing is not excuse. She didn't have to take part of this parade. Nobody forced her to go there.

Kanki is spot on to be fair. People already know who Avril is, so just putting her on a tv in front of millions isn't going to help her, she needs to impress people on top of that. But again she fails, this time who ever told her this would be good should not be involved with Avril again.

The reason this song isn't a success is because it's just not that great. It's very ordinary and the only thing good about it was the high notes in the bridge that she doesn't include when singing it now anyway.

Best they just let this era end, and hope that she can produce something good for the new album. She needs to bring back her warm vocals and we need songs as good as I'm With You, My Happy Ending etc

she needs to then do a really good acoustic gig that can be filmed for tv...

But in all honesty i don't think alot of fans are prepared to accept things need to radically change. Most of those who were fans back in the beginning have moved on and the newer fans have different morals and expectations of Avril.

In short, It's over for Avril..well Almost.

Although In my opinion, It's not really Avril's music that have been the problem,. it's her public image, and it's a fact that even if you released a great album/singles, if you have bad relationship with the public/media, it's all useless.

Some artist have flopped era, but they recovered, why is that? because the reason those artist have flopped era is their album is not really great, not because the public hates them or not interested with them. Which the only solution is to bring a great album.

That's why having a bad image is much harder than having little or no talent at all in this industry.

Epic should know that they should fix and find out how will Avril is going to have a good relationship with the media/public.
