Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner Still Tweeting About Love—Are They Really Broken Up?

"It really upsets me to read all the FALSE!! stories," Jenner tweeted, not long after his split from his girlfriend of roughly two years broke.
"Avril has always been there for me and is the closest person to my heart. I love her."
Not long after that tweet was unleashed to the world, Lavigne responded in kind.
"luv u 2!!! @BrodyJenner," she wrote.
While that may not sound like two people who have recently gone their separate ways, rest assured, that's one couple that's most definitely, well, uncoupled.
A source confirms to E! News that the duo is no longer dating and that the breakup was a "mutual decision."
And as for those love declarations? According to the source, Avril is "the kind of girl who stays in touch with her exes" and has been known to tell her ex-husband Deryck Whibley that she still loves him, too. No big deal.
Meanwhile, Avril also has the added benefit of something every broken-hearted person wants: a lot of distractions.
A source close to the singer tells E! News that Lavigne recently sold her Bel Air mansion to Los Angeles Clippers star Chris Paul and will move out at the end of the month, at which time she'll embark on an overseas tour.
