Aww the song that made me a die hard fan I was 14 and saw the video on Mtv and loved Avril's rebellious attitude I know many of us criticize this song's brattines, but let's face it: it's one of her best songs ever, as much as it hurts for some snobs.

But anyways, this song will always hold a special place in my heart, not only because it's the song that introduced me into her music, but also because Avril came into my life at a time when I just wanted to break through and find my own identity. And she really taught me how to do so

I know that lately I haven't been liking Girlfriend much and I have even said it was one of Avril's worst songs, but hey, I guess it was just a phase of TBDT denial I'm trying to be more objetive now, and it really is a song that defines Avril And nothing wrong about it being bratty; it came out at the right time in her career

I wasn't a fan at the time but I was thirteen and saw her performing it on an Irish TV show wearing pink plaid trousers. My class went to an adventure camp in the April following and it was playing non stop in all the dorms, everyone was obsessed. !_!


There needs to be another giant landmark single. I don't think in 2016 we'll be celebrating five years of What The Hell, you know.
