What is Avril's Surprise?

I know a lot of you guys don't like Chad Kroeger. In fact, around 95% of the general public hates his voice. But you guys have to admit he is a solid songwriter. He can really help Avril write some meaningful songs, which is what she needs right now! Out goes Max Martin's generic lyrics and in comes a true rocker who has over eleven years of credibility in the music industry.

I doubt they are doing a duet, so I think we are in the clear. This can only be positive news!

Plus, Avril hasn't done well on Hot AC lately. I know Pop is most important, but we gotta get those deep meaningful ballads back on the Hot AC charts like Nobody's Home and Keep Holding On!

Nickelback is not a flop. They actually do very well with Hot AC! VERY well!

DID very well. Now there are riots when they do a halftime show.

I LOVE Nickleback and Chas Kroger!!! Everybody else (the "95%") can suck it, I love Chads voice and the music. I'm SO STOKED for this!!!

Not a huge Nickelback fan, but I'm not opposed to them. I like their music.

Max has actually been in the business longer than Chad. And I'm sorry, how is Nickelback not generic? They've been releasing the same single for the last eleven years.

Granted, the public eats them up like a Strawberry Sundae on a hot summer day. They do do well, you can't deny that. Their latest album sold very well and is still doing moderately good.

I could see the two of them streaming out a couple hits if Avril's working with him. He'll definitely give her the more "rock" feel. The only thing though, anything with Chad's name on you can tell very very much that he's got something to do with it. I guess that can be good or bad.

I'm indifferent overall. There are worse people she could work with. And I'm intrigued to hear what a collaboration between the two of them would sound like. So maybe I'm not indifferent?

Alls I can say, it's interesting AND unexpected.
