I thought it was quite interesting. Not only has she dressed up and done herself up, but she's even put a wig on. It's fake within the video.
Cute video...but I didn't get the emotion, just like I didn't get it in the WYWH video.
Nice surprise though.
Realistically speaking, I don't think this video will propel Avril back to the limelight, especially if it's supposed to be "fans-only".
The song won't be played on the radio, and thus won't chart. And this vid will end up racking up as many (or as little) YouTube views as Alice did.
Guys, don't forget that this was shoot a year ago. Remember the vanity fair shoot? I don't even think that this was meant to be a video for "Goodbye".
Avril is beautiful and I love her image in this video, at least we have something and was good.. I don't like the part when she's shaving while she's drinking o.o . I just don't get that point. But I liked it.

We don't actually know when it was shot. They could just as easily have recreated the Vanity Fair shoot look later.
It's a pretty video and a good surprise. She looked beautiful but I didn't really get the story? Was it meant to say goodbye to the hollywood fabricated industry and stripping down until you get to really show yourself? I guess that was it or maybe she was expecting someone but he never come. Maybe that's why she shut the door and cried. It's an interesting video with various perspectives to look from.

I don't believe you're supposed to know what exactly was going on. You're supposed to come up with your own conclusion as to what she was doing and why she was acting the way she was.
At first, I didn't think this was shot last year when that photoshoot was. I didn't think she thought that far ahead and went about doing this and it sounded as if they were just filming this. But now that I really thought about it, it appears that it is indeed old. I get the 'recreating similar imagery' as her Vanity Fair set (similar/same outfits/definite same location) but even her nail polish (black with a distinct skull and cross bones) is actually the same as the shoot. Every detail. Just my opinion, it seems like this wasn't completely recent. Not that it matters, still a good video.
