Seriously. Do we really need all those pointless gimmicky heavy toolbars? Image heaviness? Whatever it is your packing in that coding that is causing this ridiculous lag? This is honestly the slowest website I have ever encountered. You really have to get your priorities right, you are sacrificing way too much precious loading time for the sake of pointless shit no one cares about. Not only the loading time, people like looking at clean layouts, not cluttered busy messes.

I only go on bandaids on my mobile because it is nice and stripped back on the mobile version, and it just became too frustrating using it on a computer, which says something about the sheer scale of the lag and unusability of the site because I hate typing lengthy rants through awkward phone keyboards lol. Using the non mobile version of the site just isn't an option. It's just a big dark tunnel of jerkiness and loading bars and misery. Fair enough, I have an old computer, but this is the only site that can cause Windows to crash.

A site is supposed to provide a clean, smooth user experience, so that everything is pretty much invisible to the user other than the content. I don't know how you could have gotten that number one priority so wrong so that instead of being invisible, the bulky design of the site smacks you in the face and makes sure it is the first thing you notice, but my god you did. !_!

When I joined bandaids I was on a 2009 laptop on Windows 7. The average website loaded really fast. Bandaids loaded really slowly.

On my old computer, the average website loads at a medium pace. Bandaids loads at elderly disabled slug pace.

The problem is not on my end, most websites load slowly because there is too much to download on each page load, nothing to do with memory.

However, on top of the amount there is to download, this site is so heavy it also eats up what little memory my old computer has and causes it to crash. No other site does that.

No matter what I am using, bandaids loads at least twice as slowly as an average site.

Its slow but it doesn't really change things much. The average site loads in less than a second. A Bandaids page takes 2-3 seconds. That's not much of a difference.

Plus my Firefox never crashes while using Bandaids. I crashes or hangs sometimes when I use Facebook.

It is a difference, a big one. Yeah, you're not there for the three seconds looking at your watch and falling asleep accidentally, but it all adds up to a jilted frustrating user experience lacking in the fluidity in moving through a site we've come to expect. most sites can manage a page loaded in three times less time. It's just not acceptable to be that far behind the average, its not 1998. It's not even for good reason, its for the sake of a bunch of ugly gimmicky widgets.

My laptop is from 2007 and I upgraded it to windows 7 like a year ago. Bandaids is perfect on my computer. But my computer is just generally fast anyway... I do agree though that bandaids has a pretty heavy UI, computers with a slow processor and less RAM won't be able to function properly on it.

For fucks sake banz are you thick? If I have tried it on more than one computer and bandaids is the only slow site on all of them, the problem is not on my end. You even said yourself this site is at least three times slower than average, yet you also sy the problem is with my computer? Oh to the em to the gee.

What do you mean I have to learn to live with it? This isn't something sealed in the laws of the universe that simply must be, electrons must move around atoms, light must be faster than sound, and avrilbandaids dot come must be of a slower than average loading speed. Im complaining about something that is not acceptable for any website and almost definitely fixable.

Bull; No, I don't have to buy a better computer, the problem is not on my end and I am not the one with an upgrade in order. I have tried a new laptop, an old desktop, and a smartphone, all of which can handle every other website just fine. You are just defending it blindly out of loyalty. The fact is, this site has serious problems with the weight of its design.

You know absolutely nothing about what is expected of someone creating a website if you think it only needs to work on a certain kind of computer or connection that happens to be able to handle it perfectly and everyone else can buy a new computer or get fucked. Web designers have to cater universally, create a site perfect for 98% of users, not 30%, work around the users' shitty computers and not expect the user to work around their shitty design.
