Mature Avril is finally coming!

Emotional doesn't always mean matured. Well, at least it didn't in case of Goodbye Lullaby. I don't think I should expect much from her in this matter anymore.

Thing is, if we want more profound subjects like Anything But Ordinary, Avril needs more than two writers to accomplish it. Anything But Ordinary was written by Avril and The Matrix team and Tomorrow was written by Avril, Curtis Frasca, and Sabelle Breer.

The contrast; Who Knows was obviously written with Chantal, who was really no help lyrically at all on Under My Skin, and Freak Out's lyrics were written by Av and the music was written by Evan and Matt Brann. So there you go. Basic lyrics that were redeemed by the instrumentation's.

You would think that an artist who is nearing her thirties wouldn't need such help in the writing department, but Goodbye Lullaby demonstrates that she most certainly does.

I disagree with this, Avril is a very solid song-writer. She just needs help for more mainstream songs. Look at Goodbye Lullaby. Stop Standing There, 4 Real and Remember When are standouts IMO, and contain some very powerful lyrics. Avril doesn't need fancy metaphors and long rhyming words to have an impact, because the most important thing is that Avril delivers the lyrics in such a special way. Look at Adele, some of her lyrics are also very basic, but sometimes they're the most real and the easiest to relate to. They're simple, often catchy and if the vocals are delivered well, they form a solid well-written song. You can't deny that a song like 4 Real doesn't contain some clever, well-written lyrics.

To be honest, I don''t really prefer Avril's literal lyrics in LG and some UMS, because that is my taste.

She's more capable of writing those elaborate lyrics, but the thing is it's her style of writing.

for example, i don't like my world, mobile, etc because the lyrics are to literal.

I want something to keep me guessing.

She's got an amazing voice and makes songs wich are enjoyable for people of every age.
Apart from that, Adele has got a very sweet and fun personality.

Yes, it's based on taste, but i was talking about another thing: there are so many words, many sentences, expressions, clever rhymes used in that album (and even in the b-sides) which she didin't save in her mind.
What i was trying to say is when you work with people, you learn something, something that will stay forerever in you. It's a shame that it didin't happen, imagine if it did..nobody would say that her lyrics are basic and juvenile.
