I don't normally associate "emotional" with "upbeat and fun" so I'm not really sure what to make of this. Sometimes I think Avril is challenged to come up with descriptive terms and resorts to easy labels. That said, this is the girl who always knows and gets what she wants, so I'll trust her to deliver the goods, musically speaking, this time around.

Also, few are bigger fans of UMS than me, so help me understand what a "postive, upbeat" UMS would be like ... isn't the angst and somewhat bitter emotion of UMS part of what makes it UMS to begin with? To turn that on its head would make it unlike UMS, I think.

Oh Avril, you've left me so confused . Please, someone, enlighten this poor soul, I'd appreciate it.

Sounds like a bit of GL mashed with TBDT, to be honest. I'm all for that.

I hope I can play it around my friends without being labeled a sissy like I was with GL XD Sounds good, though. I just hope I can.... idk have fun with this album unlike GL, which was good, but I don't find myself listening to it very often at all.

Some Under My Skin songs are upbeat, like He Wasn't...
Most of the songs have very good bass lines. That's where they get their rocky feel from.
