Avril Lavigne: My New Album is Very Emotional

I think this album is gonna be unique in its sound just like LET GO, UMS and TBDT. GL was a mix of all three albums and as much as I loved the effort put out by Avril, it was her most inconsistent album. At this point, I don't think I 'd label the 5th album to be a Part 2 of any previous works she's ever done. This album is meant to be a commercial success and I guess L.A Reid's trying to make a big change for this 5th era (I do think L.A Reid is still a businessman although I guess like Avril said he doesn't make it awkward-really hope he's pushed Avril to continue to grow as an artist...constructive change will be good at this point in Avril's career). I'm sure that the album will still have an Avril touch and honestly I just want Avril to rule the charts in 2012...she deserves it! Hmm I'm guessing Chad's songs are the emotional ones (or possibly the left-overs from GL) and the upbeat/crazy/fun songs are The Runners or might be Alex Da Kid...All in all I am so freaking excited for new music coming from Avril whatever genre she chooses I know it won't be forced music

I haven't been this excited for 2 years. I believe this album will smash everything around it and dominate the charts this year. While I was reading the interview I was thinking of an UMS - GL mix and if it's even half of what I expect, it will be a major success.

Avril doesn't have a knack for descriptive words when it comes to hinting about her upcoming albums. After the visible emotion displayed on UMS and the majority of GL, and after all the crazy fun displayed on TBDT, who knows what "emotion" and "crazy fun" could mean this time around.

What "emotional" and "fun" means to Avril could mean very differently to each individual fan.

I'm really skeptical about this album. It took her like 3 years to write GL and now this is done in matter of weeks?! Don't get me wrong, I do hope that it will be a major hit, buuut...
