This is the cover of a newspaper of my country:
Two earthquakes in Indonesia caused panic and tsunami warnings
Alarms were raised in all countries of the Indian Ocean. The earthquakes were recorded off the coast of Sumatra and were of 8.6 and 8.2 degrees on the Richter scale.

So I see Japan are planning to restart nuclear plant...
Personally I think this is very very dumb. Japan is prone to earthquakes because its near a fault line
Here's a map of the fault-lines for people who don't know them:
Japan should try and use other methods of producing electricity. Sure nucleur doesn't cause greenhouse gases but if one of those reactors blows it will be like Chernobyl all over again... (My family help out a charity for Chernobyl children where they come over for a month holiday and the fresh air supposedly adds 2 years to their life expectancy - plus they can finally act like children).
It would be horrible to see another disaster like that. Burning fossil fuels is bad for the enviroment in a constant way but liveable, nucleur is great but then a complete disaster if something goes wrong. Prehaps they should invest more into sustainable energies. I'd rather see fossil fuels over nucleur anyday though.

My city is on a fault line too and it's the most industrialised city in the MMR.![]()
