That's my point! The few minutes it takes to have a cigarette, you might as well do something else, something more productive that could clear your mind.Originally Posted by Ezequiel To view the link you have to Register
I also hate it when people my age smoke and are like "Oh it doesn't matter, I'm only 18/19, I'm young and can give up anytime I want". But most of them have been saying that since they were 16.
Like I said before, I won't preach anti-smoking because everyone has a right to make their own decisions, but I'll actively encourage people to give up. It's seriously not worth it. And if you're doing it for stress reasons, try yoga or jogging. Exercise releases endorphin's which are proven to help your well-being. Plus, it's free and it benefits your health.
When my friends was quitting smoking, she put any money she'd spend on cigarette's into a money-bank and spend the money on herself and get stuff she'd wanted for ages! She said that really helped!

You don't need smoke to get relax , smoke acelerattes your heart pulsations so how can smoke be relaxing you? Its all on your mind, smoke relaxes you because you think that, its ''placebo''

That's pretty much what happened to my brother. He was 18 when he started smoking. One year ago he was 22 and said he'd give up smoking because "he doesn't wanna go to that place where he is 30 and with a cigarrette in his mouth", and asked me to take hundreds of pictures of him smoking "the one and only last cigarrette he's ever smoking.".Originally Posted by how does it feel To view the link you have to Register
The next day he desperately asked a stranger on the street for a cigarrette.![]()
Like it or not, even though she's a lot like me, we're not the same.

Cigarettes are so expensive these days; no stranger will give anyone a cigarette (around here anyway)...Originally Posted by Diiddyx To view the link you have to Register

This whitewashing of history is simply wrong. History is about accurately depicting events from the past and not adjusting the past so that it can neatly fit in with the social mores of the present. This revisionism reveals far more about the immaturity on the part of those people who believe that their agenda, and their feelings, are more important than the truth. As Jack Nicholson famously said in “A Few Good Men,” …

In the well-known original image, Churchill makes a “V” shaped symbol with his fingers – while gripping a cigar in the corner of his mouth.
But in a reproduction of the picture, hanging over the main entrance to a London museum celebrating the wartime leader, he has been made into a non-smoker through the use of image-altering techniques.

I remember we were in Portugal when this happened. There was this woman with a cute dress and he had a professional camera and he took a picture of her. She asked if she could see it and if my brother could send it to her through e-mail. He said yes, and that woman asked what she could do to thank him, even though it wasn't a big deal. He desperately said then "A CIGARRETTE PLEASE!"Originally Posted by hank To view the link you have to Register

What personally ticks me off is when parents smoke around their kids, especially infants. I see it so often in the UK and honestly I don't understand how people do it. What's the point of making all those doctor appointments if you're going to whittle away at his/her life anyway?![]()

You are making a big deal out of it. I smoked all during the childhood of my children....and none of the three kids are smokers...Originally Posted by Jululps To view the link you have to Register
It's not your fault, really. Just like we can't really blame the ordinary people for Fascism & Nazism...when they came under the influence of such powerful propaganda..
