Actress Lindsay Lohan has been found unconscious in an Los Angeles hotel room and is believed to be suffering from exhaustion after working two days non-stop.

Paramedics rushed to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Marina Del Rey, west of Los Angeles, after an emergency call.

A spokesperson for the County Fire Department, which responded to the call, says the person treated wasn't taken to hospital and would not confirm the identity.

However ABC television has reported Lohan, who is currently filming a television movie about Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor's stormy romance with Richard Burton, was found in the penthouse of the hotel.
