I wrote a short essay for why I nominated her haha.

Avril is an established star world wide who continues to write and perform great music and shows no signs of stopping. She is already set to relase her fifth studio album within the next year or so. Although her image and persona have changed over the past decade, deep down she has remained the same. She has always been a versatile singer, has performed duets with music greats such as Shania Twain, Pat Benatar and Alanis Morrisette. Despite her success she remains fiercely devoted to her fans and is very grateful to them.

Avril possesses both tremendous inner and outer beauty. Her looks are simply stunning. Throughout her entire career she has exhibited a staunch commitment to remaining true to herself, a tremendous amount of courage and initiative, all the while being a strong and independent young woman. In addition she has proven to be a gifted entrepreneur with both her fashion line and her humanitarian work.

In the realm of acting she has already worked alongside Will Shatner, Bruce Willis, Steve Carrell, Greg Kinnear, Richard Gere and Claire Danes. In addition a number of her songs have been featured in a number of soundtracks.

In short she is a fantastic role model, particularly for young girls.

She is a big role model for me and many others. Not only teenage girls, but also guys, and people of all ages. She's been teaching me my whole life to stay who I am, and not caring about what other people want to say about me.
She also does a lot of charity work with her foundation. She is the prove you can have an attitude and still be cute, stunning and caring.
She is a girl who wants to have fun and at the same time a busy woman. She is a workaholic and has a lot of side projects such as a clothing line and foundation.
About her looks: her face is like an angel. She is very small and can look like a teenager, but if she wants she can show her feminine side and look sexy without being too much.

Apart from being absolutely stunning and still looking like a teenager even though she's almost 30, Avril Lavigne is an amazing role-model both for young girls and boys; unlike so many other popstars she isn't using her body to sell her music and relies on her talent. She teaches teenagers and young-adults to be comfortable with who they are and to be determined and hardworking when following their dreams. On top of that she has her own charity which helps sick and disabled youths which she actively takes part it - she's actually out there helping people instead of just lending her name to something she does no work for, like other celebrities do. She's a hardworker, she's independent and she's dignified. That's what makes Avril Lavigne beautiful inside and out.
