So what is the "Member Of The Month"? Has it been organised before?
Yes, an event similar to this did exist a few years back, when the team introduced "Member Of The Week" in the forums, where a member was chosen every week to be given the weekly title of "Member Of The Week", and was chosen based on forum activity and popularity. The staff and the media team has decided to bring it back (after Diddy pitched in the idea, initially). However, we decided to tweak things a little to make the event more fun and interesting! We changed the weekly format to a monthly one. So from this July onwards, at the end of each month, a member will be chosen as the Member Of The Month.
How will the "Member Of The Month" be chosen this time?
The staff and the media team (along with Diddy) will be keeping a close eye on the forums (like we always do *wink*wink*). Towards the end of the month we will brainstorm and come up with five members, whose activities, posts and popularity have been outstanding over the month. These five members will be up for nominations in which YOU all will get to vote, and choose YOUR "Member Of The Month".
Can a member win the title more than once?
Nope, a member can only win the title once (reasons explained below). However, if a member is nominated, but failed to win at the polls due to insufficient votes, they have full chances of being nominated again next month.
What does a member get if he/she wins the Member Of the Month?
The prizes that we're planning to give to the winners of the titles are-So get ready Bandaiders, gear up to outshine everyone else! You could be THE one!
- Be ready to be a star, because you're going to be offered a fully guaranteed nomination in the "Member Of The Year" award in the Avril Bandaids Awards 2013. So if we hold the ABAs in Summer 2013, we'll have around 12-13 members up for nomination in the category.
- The change of your user title from "Registered Member" to "Member Of The Month- *insert month here*". For instance, say starnote (sorry, you're the first name that hit me
) won the October title, so her user title will be changed to "Member Of The Month- October"
- An Award Blend will be presented to the winner by our amazing media team. (To be led by the amaazzing beba
