Nickelback Frontman Chad Kroeger Calls Into SoJO [AUDIO]

Two weeks ago, Chad Kroeger called into SoJo 104.9 to talk about the Nickelback's upcoming concert at Revel Resorts, his recent critical backlash, his new music video, and working with Avril Lavigne.

SoJo: What can you tell me about the work you're doing with Avril Lavigne. I saw some photos on Facebook that kind of made me all fluttery. Did she reach out to you?

Chad Kroeger: I met her manager, when I was in Cabo for New Years. He got in touch with my manager and suggested her and I get together and do some writing. We've done two or three different writing sessions now, and it's just amazing every single time we get into the studio together. She's got, just an amazing voice! We've probably done eight songs now, and there another week scheduled here coming up in about four or five days.

This interview took place around two weeks ago. Chad Kroeger confirmed that Avril and him had another studio session last week. This is why the two were spotted last week in Los Angeles outside the studio. There you go folks, Chad basically confirmed the album is not finished.

Well...Chad says they've done "2 or 3 sessions", and Avril said a few months ago they were in the studio for "10 days straight". So who knows now.

Hoo boy. Maybe epic didn't like the final product? Maybe they just got more creative? Maybe they're just doing final touches? Maybe I'm saying maybe too much? Maybe they have a song called "Maybe"? Oh well, I thought it was a bit too soon for a new album this summer. Plus to remain with album flows she would need a February release. Although lets not hope on the 5 year thing.

Guys please stop complaining! I´m more than willing to wait until early 2013 to have a HECK of an album..otherwise she´d just rush and probably the album wouldn´t sound as good and wouldn´t exeed our expectations. Goodbye Lullaby was released only 16 months ago, which gives her all the right to keep working on the 5th album and release it 2 years after GL..it sounds logical.

Look on the brightside, the fact that she´s still working with Chad means that the album will definetly have a more "rocker" feel

It's just that if we're talking promotion and commercial success, sooner is better.
