Just to pont this out: Manson said that Avril asked him to sing on one of her songs, so I think they didn't co-write it or at least, this wasn't the original idea. Maybe, once in the studio, they adapted the lyrics so he could sing his part.
Just a random thought since there was discussion about the song being co-written or not!

On the subject, I would love to see Avril do a collaboration with Linkin Park.

She's expressed in the past that she likes listening to them.

If they did I would hope it would be more of a cross between Avril and 'the old Linkin Park'. With one or 2 songs being exceptions their last 2 albums (including the one released a couple of weeks ago) have been pretty horrible. Minutes to Midnight was their last good album in my opinion

She wanted to make an acoustic oriented album and she did. She wanted to collab with Mason and she did! She really always gets what she wants! She really doesn't bend for anyone.

Well they have been casual friends for quite a few years now. It was probably bound to happen at some point. I think he agreed to it because they've known each other for so long, it wasn't like she walked up to some random artist she had never met and asked to collaborate.

Well she said it herself and wrote a song about it so it's pretty cool she can back it up
