Marilyn Manson is a pathetic misogynistic piece of shit
Go here watch as Manson's desperately tries to re-ignite his own dying career by 'murdering' his ex teen lover who was a 'bad' woman because she broke poor ickle Manson's heart.
I'm not sure when this video was released but it was tweeted on the same day Rhianna went on American tv to discuss domestic violence, the next day the trending topic being #Rhiannasforhead because taking the piss out of a woman discussing a serious issue is the only way people can make themselves feel better, pretend the situation isn't serious & abuse the victim for 'pretending' it is. Two separate artists & incidents, both reinforcing the fact that violence against women is not taken seriously.
The first 5 minutes of the video is Manson singing directly to camera, hiding behind some drapes, looking like Pete Wentz....pretty average boring shit really, he ran out of ideas a long time ago and desperately needs a bit of controversy to make him feel relevant again. This takes the form of ripping off that creepy Justin Timberlake video, the one where Justin breaks into 'Britney's' home & stalks her with some dancing thrown in to distract ones attention away from the weirdness of what's actually happening.
In Manson's video we stalk through the house and watch as a man beats a half naked woman (meant to be Evan Rachel Wood) in the bathroom, he leaves the bathroom & cleans up the blood he got on the door. We then see him continue to beat the woman, we get gorey close ups of her beaten & bloody face, he rips off her bra and there are close ups of her rubbing blood into her naked breasts because apparently beaten, naked & bloody is incredibly sexy and if some people don't yet think that Manson sure wants them to. He continues the beating & the last shots of the woman 'alive' are of her stood, naked & bloody, looking scared of someone off camera before we cut to the scenes of her 'dead' on the floor, the camera moves slowly up her body, lingering on her pants which have been pulled down to her knees before continuing up so we get to see her completely naked, battered body.
If the viewer didn't previously think beating & raping women was sexy Manson sure wants them to think it now and yes, I 'get' Manson, I already have an idea of what bullshit excuses he'll come up with too (something about 'not real life', it being art & art is subjective, it's a character not the 'real' him, it's not a literal example of violence against women, people just don't 'get' him, people are too stupid to differentiate between fantasy & reality....etc etc) but I really can't see what excuse he can come up with now to justify such extreme violence against a woman who is based on his real ex lover who, after she broke up with him, he called '158 times a day' and shared this gem in interviews;
"That damage is part of the record, and the song 'I Want to Kill You Like They Do in The Movies' is about my fantasies. I have fantasies every day about smashing her skull in with a sledgehammer."
Manson is a nasty, vicious, misogynistic piece of shit who's promoting violence against women through his music & videos because violence against women is 'edgy' & 'sexy' and women deserve to be punished if they break up with a man like Manson because women are lesser beings and therefore not allowed autonomy. It's not an act, it's not art and he hasn't created a character that I'm now completely misunderstanding, he's a real person promoting real violence.
