Friends with kids.....!!

Watched the movie friends with kids last night and it got me thinking if this actually happens in our society today were two friends decide to have a child together because her "biological clock" is ticking and he feels he'd like to be a dad.! They dont want to marry because they have seen what it has done to their friends and their relationships.!
So of course the couple end up having the child and a few years later get their cliched "happy ever after" ending when they admit they actually love each other (because we didnt see that one coming!)..!
But if this was a real life situation would it actually work..?!
Or if a friend approached you with the idea would you oblige.?!

Well I saw this movie a while ago just because of Kristen Wiig and cuz she cried in the movie and that was just so
I have to admit, the movie was pretty boring and dull to me. That kind of situation with the happy ending and everything only happens in movies, I didn't believe not for a second that could happen just casually in real life. I could be wrong and there are always exceptions that prove us wrong. But yeah, I don't see it.

I didnt see that movie, but I think that situation could have happen in real life, but Im not quite sure about the same ending (happy end) as in the film. I personally know about 2 people, who decided to have a child together because they feel like to, but like I said the "happy ending situation" didnt happen with them. I mean...they are okay, they are still friends, their child is okay as well, but they have different partners and they are not together.
So I dont see it as an impossible situation when two friends have kid together even though for me it is very weird, i couldnt do that

Ah I think its a cool situation... if you want a child so badly, but you haven't met the right person no harm in having one with a friend. If the friends actually really loved each other it would prob turn out into a happy family...but if they didn't the kid would still have parents who loved each other and not like in some horrible divorces where they wind up hating each other, so why not?

I do agree with you. If two rational people would to really talk it trough and commit to each other into taking care of the kid and do what would make them happy together. I just don't think people could overcome life's obstacles. There is always something in life, but hey if the worst people can have babies without any checkup, then people who would rationally make a decision together deserve to have kids more.
