From LG to TBDT, I say Avril did get better, however, GL for me is a step backward.

Such cycle of artist quality and creativity is very common, very few of them avoided it,or will going to experience it much later. I think at some point, even great artist like Avril have to experience some creativity/artistic crisis, and according to my music professors, such process is very helpful to revive an artist's fire.

P!nk, seriously? I think this single I included is the "least good" she has ever done. Cheap beat and messy sounding synths. Compare this to What The Hell and it's 10 times worse.

I do agree that a lot of artists lost their own sound but there are still artists who preserve their own style. Some artists reinvented themselves including their music.
