What were the judges hearing? I thought the high notes sounded really off-key, no offense. And in the beginning the violins were overpowering her voice, you could barely hear her. I usually like some of these performances that contestants on these shows do of Avril songs (like Ben Hazlewood's performance of IWY on The Voice Australia), but this was just not that good. Sorry. And she made weird facial expressions, like she was goofing around or something, I thought it looked out of place and the whole thing just did not work. The only impressive thing about it was how long she could hold that note for, unfortunately it was off-key, not to mention that it sounded like she was seriously straining her voice.

She's on a singing competition show- the goal is to make people better, not sugar coat everything and say how great they are if they're not. The whole point is that they're judged. She shouldn't sing a song if it's not right for her voice and this one clearly isn't because she sounds completely off-key on the high notes, I don't understand how me and WorldofAvril are the only ones who can hear this. And FYI, I sing a lot myself (I have in public a few times over the years), and I've actually sung this exact same song in front of an audience before- the high notes in the chorus are hard, I know from experience, you have to really make an effort to reach them and this girl just clearly couldn't do it. So... yes, actually, I guess you could say that I can do better... Point is, she shouldn't sing a song if it's not in her range or style. I really hate those types of comments "Like you can do better" because it doesn't mean anything- she's supposed to know how to sing and she chose to do this song- it's her own fault if it sounds bad.

For me, I dont wanna say any critics to that. 'Cause she sings Avril's song and I'm proud of it. Whoever sings any Avril's songs, I don't give a shits but I give my supports and compliments to them.
